Founded by Major General John Lejeune (luh-jern) and chartered by Congress in 1923; for over 100 years the Marine Corps League continues to stand proud as a veteran’s service organization. The Marion, Indiana-based Tripoli Detachment #844 of the Marine Corps League is a community of active duty and veteran Marines, FMF Corpsmen, veteran associates from all branches, and dedicated citizen associates committed to upholding the proud traditions of the United States Marine Corps. Our mission is to foster camaraderie, support our fellow Marines in active service and retirement, support veterans of all the armed forces, and engage in meaningful community service.
