4-H Horse Forms Deadline Approaching

Attention all 4-H Horse members who will be exhibiting a horse this year. The horse packet was mailed earlier this year and the horse leases, horse declaration form, immunization form, and stall request forma are all due to the extension office on June 1, 2026. The office hours are from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday- Friday. These forms are required for those members exhibiting at fair or other 4-H horse events. June 6 – Market Goat, Market Lamb, Dairy Feeder Steer Tag-in

Required Tag-in for Market Lambs, Market Goats, Dairy Feeder Steers will be Saturday, June 6 from 7—9:00 am at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Watch for road signs to indicate lineup locations.
Time: 7-9 am

All Market Goats & Market Lambs must have a Scrapie Tag in the ear by the June 6 tag-in. The Scrapie Tag should be put in by the breeder or where you purchased your animals.

Blue Breed Verification Cards Required for Dairy Feeder Steers – due June 6 – must be signed by dairy farmer where purchased in Ohio and include the ODA Producer number. Cards are available from the OSU Extension Office.

Dehorning and castration must be done prior to tag-in. The Fair Vet will be checking animals during tag-in but WILL NOT be castrating or dehorning animals at tag-in. If this is not done to the Vet’s satisfaction, the animal will not be tagged.

Waterford Hog Picture Reminder

Hopefully you have already taken care of this, but here is a reminder:

By June 1, 2026 all Waterford hogs project members must take a picture of tag in hog’s ear .Pictures must be submitted by ALL exhibitors, regardless of who tagged them or where purchased.

Deadline to tag hogs: Hogs must be tagged by June 1
Please insert the tag with the number on the back of ear to make it easier to read (see picture)
Advisors will submit a Hog Tag Record Sheet identifying the exhibitors and tagged hogs
Members must submit tag information and pictures via a google form by June 1 – https://forms.gle/5waWLzhbs7ecwkQu8 or scan QR code
