Movie Talk Summer Camp is BACK this summer, and we couldn’t be more excited!

We are thrilled to once again host our camp at the Douglasville Cultural Arts Center!

Movie Talk Camp introduces students to the exciting world of film. Throughout the week, campers will learn how to become professional film critics by watching, discussing, and reviewing movies. Students will also create video content for their own film review shows, explore the history of filmmaking, and even create their own silent film.

It’s a fun and engaging way for young people to build communication, critical thinking, creativity, and media literacy skills while having an unforgettable summer experience.

After more than 8 years of building, dreaming, learning, stretching, celebrating wins, and navigating hard lessons, I am proud to officially announce the appointment of Maxine Asumadu as the new Executive Director of LIFT2Enrich.

What started as a vision to empower young voices through literacy, creativity, and mentorship grew into something far bigger than I could have imagined. Together, we have impacted thousands of children and families here in the U.S. and internationally through creative writing programs, enrichment camps, mentorship initiatives, and educational partnerships.

LIFT2Enrich has truly been my baby. There were moments of incredible progress and moments that challenged us deeply, but every obstacle taught us something valuable about leadership, service, resilience, and community.

As Founder, this transition is both emotional and exciting for me. I could not be more proud to pass the torch to someone whose passion for education, youth development, and innovation aligns so beautifully with the mission of LIFT2Enrich.

Maxine brings vision, integrity, creativity, and heart to this role, and I am confident she will help lead the organization into an even greater season of impact and growth.

Please join me in congratulating Maxine Asumadu as the new Executive Director of LIFT2Enrich.

The work continues.
The mission continues.
And the future is bright.

Together, we lift. Together, we enrich.

One of our biggest goals at our camps is to help students build confidence through public speaking.

At our Ghana Youth Innovation Camp, students stood in front of an audience and presented their ideas with confidence, clarity, and pride.

Public speaking is a powerful skill. It teaches students how to express themselves, believe in their ideas, and use their voice. Watching them step up, speak boldly, and support one another was truly inspiring

Moments like these are where confidence grows and future leaders are built.

On April 6th–10th at the Great Kwame Nkrumah Memorial School in Accra, Ghana (West Africa), we hosted our very first Ghana Youth Innovation Camp.

What an incredible week it was!

Throughout the week, our students stepped into the role of young innovators and entrepreneurs:

• Day 1: They were placed into groups and explored their talents. They learned how to create a business. They created business ideas, and learned about branding while designing their own logos
• Day 2: They learned about persuasion and advertising and created their own slogans and jingles for their business.
• Day 3: They wrote scripts and created storyboards for their commercials.
• Day 4: They filmed and edited their commercials.
• Day 5: They presented their businesses and showcased their final videos.

The students were absolutely amazing to work with. Their attentiveness, creativity, drive, and determination truly stood out. They showed up every day ready to learn, create, and give their best.

This week was filled with growth, teamwork, and unforgettable moments. We are so proud of every single student.

We cannot wait for the next Ghana Youth Innovation Camp!

Today marked the final day of our week long Young Innovators Camp in Accra, Ghana!

Our campers worked in 3 amazing teams: Risjeg Restaurant, Ideal Fast Food, and Pancil Com Company (PCC).

At today’s showcase, each team proudly presented their business ideas, commercials, and final presentations, followed by a well deserved celebration of all their hard work throughout the week.

Before the showcase, we also played the Amazing Young Innovators Game, where students tested their knowledge on everything they learned during camp. It was such a fun and exciting way to wrap up the week!

Scroll through to see how they did. We had an incredible time! More pictures and videos coming soon so you can experience all the fun with us.

And in the end… PCC took the win! PCC, the reliable one!
