Chipola Healthy Start is proud to support Jackson Hospital Labor & Delivery and the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative (FPQC) PROMPT Initiative through the donation of 65 blood pressure monitors.

This partnership helps improve maternal health by supporting mothers with hypertension as they transition home after delivery, promoting blood pressure monitoring, education, and early follow-up care. Together, we are working to reduce preventable pregnancy-related complications and improve outcomes for mothers and babies in our community.

The Mission of Chipola Healthy Start has always been to reduce fetal and infant mortality and to improve health outcomes for women of childbearing age, and children under the age of three. Chipola Healthy Start is proud to be a supporting partner with Jackson Hospital Labor & Delivery.

In honor of Men’s Health Month, the Chipola Healthy Start Coalition and TEAM Dad are hosting an Information Table at Fla Choppas Barbershop, located at 800 Main Street, Chipley, FL.

The event will be held on Thursday, June 18, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

The information table will feature fatherhood resources, TEAM Dad enrollment opportunities, and men's health education materials.

The Coalition and TEAM Dad will also offer a small raffle, light refreshments, and giveaways.

We invite all community members to stop by, learn about available resources, and join us in promoting men's health and wellness.

💊🚓 The Bonifay Police Department is proud to announce that we now have a medication disposal kiosk provided by PanCare of Florida, Inc.

This secure drop-off kiosk gives our community a safe and convenient way to properly dispose of unused or expired medications, helping keep them out of the wrong hands and protecting our environment.

You can dispose of

✅vitamins
✅pet meds
✅prescription patches
✅over the counter medications

Residents can bring in unwanted medications for safe disposal during normal department hours. Please help us do our part in preventing prescription drug misuse and keeping our community safe!

All Jackson County Schools (Florida) will be closed tomorrow, Friday, April 17th, to allow for a thorough spring cleaning of campuses and buses as we work to reduce the spread of illness. The health and safety of our students and staff remain our top priority, and this precautionary step will help ensure a safe learning environment for everyone.
Twelve-month employees will report to work as scheduled to assist with this process. All extracurricular activities will continue tomorrow as scheduled.
Parents, we truly need your support to help keep our schools healthy. Please monitor your child closely for any symptoms of illness, including nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, or diarrhea. If your child or any household member is experiencing symptoms, please keep them home. Keeping sick children at home is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of illness in our schools.
Students and staff should be symptom-free for at least 24 hours before returning to school or work. By working together, we can help protect the well-being of all students and staff.
By taking these three days, we hope to give everyone time to fully recover from sickness before school on Monday. We look forward to seeing everyone back on campus Monday morning.
