September is Su***de Prevention Month.

At Roger Up, we believe every person deserves to be seen, heard, supported, and reminded that they matter. Sometimes the most meaningful thing we can do is simply check in—send the text, make the call, sit and listen, or let someone know they do not have to carry everything alone.

If you are struggling, please know this: you are not alone, and help is available. Reaching out is a sign of strength.

This month, let’s commit to looking out for one another, starting honest conversations, and staying connected to the people in our lives.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger or thinking about su***de, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Today, we want to take a moment to recognize the first responders who show up when the rest of us need help most.

To the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, paramedics and dispatchers. The long shifts, missed holidays, stressful calls, and weight you carry do not go unnoticed.

PEOPLE WILL COME.

Capt… you know, people will come.

Not because the Minnesota Sentinels are the greatest hockey team to ever lace up a pair of skates.

Let’s be honest… we’ve had our moments.

Questionable line changes. Questionable decisions. And occasionally, hockey that could generously be described as… hockey.

But people will come.

They’ll come to Centennial Sports Arena on September 11th.

They’ll come carrying flags, wearing jerseys, bringing their families, their friends, and those who have served.

And for a few hours, that rink becomes something more than a place where people chase a puck.

Because this game was never really about the game.

It’s about a day twenty-five years ago.

A day when thousands of lives were changed forever.

People will come to remember those who never made it home.

The firefighters who ran toward the smoke. The police officers. The paramedics. The military members. The ordinary people who found themselves in an extraordinary moment and chose to help.

They’ll come because remembering matters.

Hockey gives us an excuse to gather. To stand together. To put on the same colors, step onto the same ice, and remember that we are part of something bigger than ourselves.

There won't be a championship trophy waiting at the end of the night.

And nobody is going to mistake the Sentinels for an NHL powerhouse.

But that's okay.

Because on this night, the scoreboard doesn't get the final say.

The memory does.

So yes, Capt…

people will come.

And when they do, we'll be waiting.

Skates sharpened. Flags flying. Heads held high.

Because we're not just playing for the Sentinels.

We're playing for the people who aren't here to play anymore.

For the ones who were lost.
For the ones who served.
For the ones who ran toward danger.
For the families who carried on.

Twenty-five years later…

we remember.

And for them…

we keep playing.

We are incredibly grateful to have been part of the first annual Miss Red, White & Retro Pin-Up Competition & Fundraiser at the Buffalo American Legion yesterday!

What an outstanding day of classic cars, great music, amazing vendors, food, community spirit, and patriotic pride—all coming together for a meaningful cause.

Most importantly, we want to thank everyone who attended, donated, participated, volunteered, sponsored, and helped make this fundraiser such a success.

A huge thank-you to the Buffalo American Legion and Miss Marvis Mayhem! We were proud to be included!

Welcome to Roger Up Women!

We’re excited to officially open the doors to our new public page!

Roger Up Women is the sister program to Roger Up, created specifically to support female veterans and first responders through connection, community, outdoor recreation, wellness, education, and shared experiences.

Until now, much of our community has been confined to our private women’s group. That space will continue to be a place for connection and support, but we wanted to create a public space where everyone can follow along and see what Roger Up Women is all about!

Here you’ll find:

• Upcoming events and outdoor adventures
• Women’s retreats and wellness activities
• Program updates and opportunities
• Resources and education
• Photos and stories from our community
• Ways to stay connected and get involved
• A look at the work happening behind the scenes

Our goal is simple: create more opportunities for women veterans and first responders to connect, build community, get outside, and support one another.

Whether you’re a female veteran or first responder, a supporter, an organization, or simply someone who wants to learn more about what we do, we’re glad you’re here.

Follow along, share our page, and help us spread the word about Roger Up Women. 💜
