Each Oct. 13, the U.S. Navy marks its birthday on the anniversary of the day the Continental Congress first voted to put an American fleet to sea.

From a two-ship wartime resolution to a global force, a handful of moments define how the Navy got here.

The Navy has played a critical role in safeguarding the United States. For more than two and a half centuries, the Navy has defended American interests, protected maritime trade and helped maintain freedom of navigation across the world’s oceans.

Two remarkable dogs. Two incredible veterans.

Pete joined his veteran at the VFW bingo event, patiently resting under the table with the quiet, well-mannered presence that makes us so proud. Chance spent his day out pheasant hunting, flushing birds and sharing time outdoors with his veteran.

One settled quietly beneath a bingo table. The other working through the fields. Both sharing life with the people they’re there to support.

As remarkable as Pete and Chance are, we want to give just as much praise to the veterans beside them. A partnership like this isn’t simply handed over—it’s built through patience, consistency, trust, and the care these dogs receive every day.

To their veterans: thank you for loving these dogs, continuing to work with them, and giving them a life full of purpose, companionship, and adventure. You deserve recognition not only for your service to our country, but for the dedication you bring to these partnerships.

RED Friday—Remember Everyone Deployed.

Behind every deployment is someone serving far from home, a family counting down the days, and loved ones hoping for a safe return.

At Roger, we’re keeping our deployed service members in our hearts while remembering that support shouldn’t end when they come home. Their mental health matters—just as it does for the veterans and first responders in our communities.

Wear red today.

Oh my oh my!!!! It is gonna be a fun season with the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association team!!! 🦌🖤🧡

A huge THANK YOU to the MDHA chapters and community partners stepping up to support the MDHA & Roger Up Veteran Hunts! 🇺🇸🦌

Special thanks to our $1,000 Deer Stand Sponsors — Clay Wilkin Chapter, Itasca Chapter, Woodland Chapter, Bend of the River Chapter, First Call for Help, and Park Rapids Chapter, Des Moines Valley Chapter — along with our $500 Sponsors, Thief River Falls Chapter and Snake River Chapter.

Taking veterans hunting is about much more than harvesting a deer. It’s about camaraderie, purpose, time outdoors, and bringing veterans together with people who understand the value of simply sharing a deer stand and a hunting camp. For some, it’s a return to a tradition they love. For others, it may be their first opportunity to experience deer hunting.

These sponsors are helping us provide the equipment, facilities, mentorship, and opportunities needed to make these hunts possible.

Thank you for investing in our veterans and helping MDHA and Roger Up share Minnesota’s deer hunting tradition with those who have given so much. 🇺🇸

What an incredible weekend at the Roger Up Gala! We are beyond grateful to everyone who came out, participated, supported the mission, and helped make the evening so memorable!

To the amazing speakers that we had. The stories and memories shared from personal experiences. There was not a dry eye in the whole room!

Seeing so many amazing people come together reminded us just how lucky we are to have such a loving, generous, and strong community behind us. Your encouragement, energy, and commitment mean more than we can put into words! We are forever grateful!
