Come cheer on our Maple Lake Lakers tomorrow (Sunday) at 1 pm as they take on the Kimball Express. All fans attending the game will receive a 3"X5" American flag from members of our Post and American Legion Post 131 to celebrate Flag Day.

‼️ Action Alert‼️

Congress is considering legislation that would expand some veterans' programs by changing disability ratings for tinnitus and obstructive sleep apnea.

According to VA estimates, those changes could affect up to 1.5 million veterans and reduce disability compensation by approximately $57 billion over the next 10 years.

Veterans should not pay for veterans' benefits.

Join us this Sunday at Irish Stadium in Maple Lake for the Lakers game against Kimball at 1 pm. It is also Flag Day and our members will be handing out small 3"X5" flags to all fans. Our Post, along with Legion Post 131 will be doing the Color Guard for the National Anthem before the first pitch.

Today we commemorate the 82nd anniversary of D-Day. We honor the bravery and sacrifice of the Allied troops on the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944, a day that forever changed the course of history. May we never forget their courage and heroism.

Minnesota VFW Charitable Association President Ken Schroepfer (right) and Treasurer Dave Staehlin (left), on January 5th, perform the first drawing of the Association's 2026 calendar raffle. Purchasers have multiple chances to win 365 prizes awarded throughout the year.

With the initial drawing completed, sales for the 2026 calendar have ended. Watch for our 2027 raffle calendar available for sale at participating Minnesota VFWs and Auxiliaries beginning in May or June 2026.

Proceeds support the programs of the Minnesota VFW including supporting the Department's Veterans Claims Office assisting veterans obtain benefits from the VA.
