🎭 History Came to Life at School of Lexia Living Wax Museum! 🎭

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month, and our students celebrated by stepping into the shoes of some of history’s most creative, out-of-the-box thinkers who learned and saw the world differently. 🧠✨

Our students researched, rehearsed, and brought these innovators to life with costumes, speeches, and so much confidence. They showed that dyslexia isn’t a limit. It’s a different way of thinking that can change the world.

We are so proud of every student! Thank you to our families, teachers, and guests for celebrating with us.

🏁 Congratulations!🏆

We’re so proud to share that one of our SoL students took part in the Spooker Kart Nationals, a three-day go-kart series held across Oklahoma and Texas, and came away as the Overall Points Champion!

He earned the title by posting the best average finish across all three races. That kind of consistency takes focus, skill, and determination from start to finish.

Way to go! We’re cheering you on and can’t wait to see what’s next. 🏎️💨

🎭 A special Fine Arts field trip for some of our youngest School of Lexia students!

Our students had a wonderful time at Casa Mañana seeing Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale — and we were treated to front-row views! 🤩

Experiences like this are an important part of our Fine Arts program. Seeing live performances gives our students a chance to experience storytelling, acting, music, movement, and stage presence firsthand. They can take what they see and learn back to school as they develop their own presentation and performance skills for Destination Imagination and other Fine Arts activities.

Most importantly, everyone had a wonderful time! ❤️ A big thank you to the parents who joined us and helped make this such a fun treat for our students.

Dyslexia is not a limitation. It's a different way of learning. 💙🧠

Dyslexia affects how the brain processes written language, but it doesn't define what a person can achieve. Students with dyslexia often bring remarkable strengths: creativity, big-picture thinking, problem-solving, and determination that carries them far.

Entrepreneurs, filmmakers, chefs, and actors have all built extraordinary careers while being dyslexic. Their stories remind us that the right support and encouragement can open every door.

At School of Lexia, we don't focus on what a student can't do. We focus on how they learn best, and we help them thrive.

✨ Turning learning differences into superpowers.

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month. ❤️

As we look back at the beginning of this school year, these moments mean even more.

A new campus. A new school year. A new chapter for School of Lexia—and so many moments of learning, laughter, friendship, confidence, and growth already filling our new home.

Behind every photo is a student with unique strengths, talents, challenges, and potential. These pictures—and a few candid moments along the way—are a reminder of why we do what we do every day.

Dyslexia may change the way a child learns, but it does not define what they can achieve.

This Dyslexia Awareness Month, we celebrate our incredible students and all those who learn differently. We are grateful for the families, teachers, supporters, and community who believe in them and in the mission of School of Lexia. ❤️

Here’s to the beginning of an incredible year.

And we’re only getting started. ❤️

We’re so proud of Rylie! ❤️ What a wonderful example of kindness, compassion, and serving others. Thank you, Burleson Animal Shelter, for giving our students opportunities to see how even small acts of generosity can make a meaningful difference in their community. Way to go, Rylie! 🐾❤️

FEEL GOOD FUR-DAY 🥰

Giving back to your community can make a big difference, no matter your age. ❤️

Rylie, a student at the School of Lexia, recently chose the Burleson Animal Shelter for a community service project and stopped by with a donation of much-needed items for the animals in our care.

Donations like Rylie’s help us provide a little extra comfort, care and enrichment to shelter pets while they wait for their forever homes.

We love seeing young members of our community find ways to make a difference, especially when that kindness extends to animals who could use a little extra love.

Thank you, Rylie, for choosing to support the Burleson Animal Shelter and for showing our pets that our community is rooting for them. 🐾❤️
