The Lucy Jean Mofield Memorial Scholarship is a non-profit organization wholeheartedly committed to helping college-bound students in financial need succeed by means of scholarship awards. The scholarship was created in honor of Lucy Jean Mofield, who passed away suddenly at an age too young from a tick-borne illness called Ehrlichiosis. The first scholarship ($1,000) was awarded in May 2016 to Ap

ril Collins, a Midland High School Graduate in Pleasant Plains, Arkanasas, which is where Lucy lived and raised her children. Our long term goal is to offer a scholarship that is renewable up to four years. We are open to receive scholarship applications from Midland 2018 Seniors. The Deadline to apply is March 16, 2018.
