🎓🤩Announcing the 2021 Lucy Jean Mofield Memorial Scholarship Winners Brianna Reed and Valerie Atanode!! ❤️❤️ They both will receive a $1,000 academic award!

Brianna graduated from Midland High School with a 4.0 GPA. Brianna is an Arkansas Scholar and loves to read in her spare time. She plans to study Psychology while attending Lyon College in Batesville. Her future career goals include attending law school to become a family lawyer.

Valerie graduated from Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas with honors. She is pursuing a career in Nutrition at Texas Tech University. Valerie has an unwavering drive and motivation. Her future career goals are to become a physician assistant. Valerie’s hobbies include singing and volunteering at her church.

Congratulations to both candidates for your scholarship award and many academic successes. We wish you all the joy, love, and success in your life.

🗣🗣Announcing the 2020 Lucy Jean Mofield Memorial Scholarship Winners.....Seth Kirk and Stormy Casey!!!❤️❤️

Seth is a very intelligent, respectful young man with a genuinely kind heart. He graduated from Midland High School with excellent grades and many academic awards, including Biology, Environmental Science, Math, and Art. He is currently attending University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. Seth is very artistic, creative, and expressive. There’s no doubt he will continue to make a positive impact on the world. We are very proud of the young man you have become, and Lucy is shining down from Heaven beaming with pride and joy.

Stormy graduated from MHS with honors. She is pursuing a nursing career at UACCB. Stormy has an admirable motivation to overcome adversity. She has faced many hardships, yet still possesses the will to chase her dreams. That inner strength will definitely take her far in life. We believe in you Stormy, and we have faith that you will be a very successful RN.

BIG NEWS!!! We are accepting 2020 scholarship applications! We will miss interviewing the students in person, but are happy to still be able to offer the scholarship to graduating seniors. To apply visit our website, ljmscholarship.com. There you may download the application. This year, the scholarship will be offered to graduates of any high school. With great pleasure, we’d like to announce that two scholarships were awarded again this year!!! 🥳🙏🏼 Chasity Reeves and Briar Bumpous are this year’s recipients! 👏🏻👏🏻They both will receive a $1,000 to apply to their college of choice. They both plan to pursue careers in at UACCB. Chasity will pursue Psychology and Briar will major in Math.

These two students are truly outstanding. They have demonstrated the highest standards of character, and they are mature beyond their age. They both worked jobs through high school while maintaining excellent grades. They are also excellent leaders and supporters to their peers. Chasity and Briar graduated Valedictorian and Salutatorian.

We are so proud, and we know Lucy would be, too! Please join us in congratulating these two outstanding Midland seniors on their accomplishments! ❤️💙 To date, our scholarship organization has awarded $,8000 in scholarship funds to Midland students.

Over the next couple weeks, previous scholarship winners will be recognized and congratulated on this page for their hard work and achievement. 🙏I love following their amazing educational journey, and I’m sure all of you who’ve supported and contributed to the scholarship would love to hear updates as well.💜💜

Morgan Combs received the Lucy Jean Memorial Scholarship in 2018. She applied the $1,000 award toward tuition at University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB).
She has already finished her pre-requisites for the BSN program (Bachelor’s Science Nursing) at Arkansas State. She plans to enter into the RN program this fall at UACCB. After, she will begin at Arkansas State in the Fall of 2021, where she will obtain her BSN, then pursue a Practitioners license!🥳🥳🥳

Some of her college achievements include a grade of 104% in Anatomy Lab and a 95% in Anatomy. She currently has all A’s with a 103 in Anatomy Lab II and a 90% in Anatomy II! Last semester her GPA was a 4.0, and she is rocking a cumulative GPA of 3.4!!!!!👏😆

Morgan is taking the entrance test for the RN program on May 9th. Let’s wish her well on her upcoming entrance test and congratulate Morgan on all her superb academic achievements! Morgan, I’m so proud of you, and I know my Mom Lucy would be too! 🙏🥰💜
