Info about the Mansfield Commission for the Arts and the entire Mansfield arts community. The Farr Best Theater is a gem of Mansfield history.

Recently purchased by the City of Mansfield, the theater is undergoing a transformation and revitalization. An intimate, 158-seat venue in historic downtown Mansfield, the Farr Best hosts movies, shows, and a variety of community events. It was built in 1917, and still retains much of the original historic charm.

Are you looking for an art contest that your child can enter?

The Mansfield Centennial Lions Club is hosting a Peace Poster Art Contest, where children ages 11-13 can create an original piece of artwork that shows what "Harmony in Humanity" means to them.

The top three entries at the Mansfield Centennial Lions Club level will receive recognition and prizes, and the first-place winner will advance to represent our club at the district level:
- 1st Prize: $50 gift card
- 2nd Prize: $30 gift card
- 3rd Prize: $15 gift card

The district’s Fall Art Show is being hosted at the Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts. In recent Mansfield Public art news, we’ve begun installation on our next mural, Fields of Honor!

Created by local artist Colton Canava, this meaningful artwork serves as a visual reminder that remembrance is not confined to a single day but lives on through the stories, sacrifices, and legacies of those who have served. Since the earliest observances of Memorial Day, flowers have symbolized remembrance, placed on the graves of fallen service members as expressions of gratitude and respect. Drawing inspiration from this tradition, the mural blends beauty and reflection to create a powerful tribute to veterans, their families, and our community.

We are excited to have this stunning addition to the Mansfield Public Art Program. Fields of Honor will be installed on the bridge facing E. Broad Street, next to the Veterans Memorial.
