The Drama Therapy Fund

The Drama Therapy Fund is a 501( c ) 3 charitable organization supporting the growth of drama therapy through the funding of education and research.

The Drama Therapy Fund was created in 2004 to help grow the field of drama therapy by collecting and sharing funds for education about drama therapy (for students, drama therapists, the mental health arena, and the general public) and for research into the efficacy of drama therapy as a prevention/treatment for mental health issues. Drama Therapy is the intentional use of drama processes and theat

re performances to help individuals and groups work through problems, develop emotional intelligence, express themselves, resolve conflicts, and develop interpersonal skills. Why should you support the work of The Drama Therapy Fund? Because drama therapy works and this needs to be communicated clearly to the world at large. In our first 10 years of operation incorporated as a 501( c ) 3 charitable organization the Drama Therapy Fund has offered over 180 scholarships to conferences to drama therapy students and practitioners in need, 10 grants to researchers, 10 awards for research done on drama therapy, and much more!!

🚨A limited number of NADTA Annual conference scholarships are being funded for new students who were unable to apply during the open application period! Students in their first year of a Drama Therapy Program or AT students who started their contracts in or after May 2026 are eligible to apply. 🚨The winner of the 2025 NADTA Conference Registration Raffle, NADTA President Dr. Chyela Rowe, has donated her prize back to the Drama Therapy Fund.

So, we are hosting a 2nd chance raffle! Each NADTA member is permitted to register for one entry into the random drawing AT NO CHARGE! All NADTA members need to do is fill out an entry form to be entered!

Entries accepted through June 30, 2026. Drawing will be made and announced on July 1, 2026. Winner will be notified through email and on social media. One entry per NADTA member allowed, duplicate entries will be deleted prior to drawing.

🚨The scholarship application deadline for the 2026 NADTA Annual conference has been extended until May 3! We know some are waiting to hear if they are presenting before making plans. This will hopefully give them some time once notifications go out. Everyone else, what are you waiting for?! It’s go time!
