The Mandan Police Explorer Post was started in 2017 to provide young people education and training in LE.

In 2023 the Post transferred to a Public Safety Cadet's Post.

The Cadet's got to hang out with Mandan Fire today for their open house. October is fire prevention month. Great time for us all to refresh our knowledge and skills to prevent fires.

Mandan Cadets worked on their handcuffing skills last night. Great start to the fall!

Today's program was off duty Sergeant Mike Breid with the Mandan Police Department speaking as the advisor of the Public Safety Cadets Post 2853 their area youth group sponsored by the Mandan Kiwanis. Students 14-20 years old receive training in leadership, first aid and all scenarios of police work. They compete against other posts in North Dakota and Minnesota. Students have continued in law enforcement and military careers. For more information see their FaceBook page.

We had a blast at the Annual NDLEYA Leadership Conference at Camp Grafton! From Rappel walls, classroom, working scenes, to ai***ft wars. We can't wait for next year's Conference!
