We are not the Bears without our board members, coaches, team moms and volunteers! We can't say thank you enough for all you guys do for the league and our players on and off the field! You are all truly amazing 💙👏🤩🐻🧡

If you have a Bears volunteer (or multiple) that has truly made a difference please let them know in the comments and in person!! Without these people we wouldn't be the league we are!!

On that note!! All day home games at Gill Stadium this Sunday with our youth team starting out at 8am; Juniors 10am; Seniors 2pm!

Do you know who doesn't get enough credit in youth sports?

The leaders behind the organizations.

The presidents and VPs.
The treasurers and coordinators.
The board members
The volunteers.

They certainly take a lot of heat, don't they?
But do they get the accolades they deserve, too?

Because the truth is...
There is no season without these invididuals who step up.
There are no funds raised for equipment and rent and fees.
There are no schedules to download.
There are no refs or umps scheduled to show up.
There is no gym/field/ice time secured.
There is no food at the concession stand.
There are no uniforms to wear.
There is no game location to check in the app.
There is no communication to keep parents in the loop.

There is NONE of that..... if we don't have the support of these people who step up and volunteer their time to make it happen.

In youth sports you hear a lot of the complaints about how things could be done better.

Heck I'm sure many of these leaders will be the first to admit there's always room to grow.

But for our kids to be able to play the sports they love, we need people behind the scenes willing to volunteer their time to make it happen.

Is it always perfect?
No.
But do we always need people to step up and try?
Yes.

So if there's someone behind the scenes who helps make your athlete's season possible...
Don't forget to thank them.

We hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Labor Day weekend! Ours started Thursday with our Bears Family dinner!
The beginning of football season is exhausting to say the least. 5 nights a week practice while summers ending and schools beginning can take a toll. To show our love and appreciation for everyone involved, parents, siblings, players, coaches, team mom's and board members, we ended practice early and enjoyed each other's company and a delicious dinner. This is by far one of my all time favorite days (aside from game day that is). Watching the players take their gear off, coaches set their whistles down, parents and siblings joining in with the teams and everyone laughing, smiling and enjoying each other's company is such a heartwarming feeling!

Bears camp was the 3rd, 5th and 6th last week! Now that the excitement (and busyness 😅) of the start of the season is behind us, I wanted to share some of the amazing fun we had that week! From special guests to team bonding we had a great week!
As we have always said "once a bear, always a bear" and Botros Alisandro feels that whole heartedly! This young man took the time out of his busy schedule to come to the field and speak with our players about his football experience and where it started. He play football at Trinity during high school, played for Snow College, then Purdue University, is currently an Old Dominion Monarch and has had the pleasure of joining the Raiders in some of their off-season camps. When you are doing big things in football everyone is interested in what high-school you played at and what college you went to but the most important question of all is where were you playing when you first fell in love with the game?? He started right here with the Manchester Bears and to be honest we are sooo proud of you!! We truly appreciate you stopping in, sharing your story and hope this isnt the last time we see your face!! Good luck this season and fingers crossed we get to see one of our own out there on the big field real soon! We're rooting for you 💪 🐻 🏈

To add to the excitement the City of Manchester, NH Fire Department stopped by and cooled our kids off and gave them one fun muddy end of practice! Seeing the smiles, hearing the laughter and watching our kiddos truly enjoy themselves is such a great feeling! We wanted to thank you guys for all you do for the community and still making it a point to impact our youth! You guys are amazing!

This season is going to be one for the books!

Due to the crazy storms that just passed thru and the flooding, we have made the decision to cancel skills and drills tonight! We are watching the weather for thursday as well and will keep everyone posted!

‼️Canceled tonight, Tuesday 7/28! We are keeping an eye on the weather for Thursday and hoping for a nice last day of skills and drills before our season officially starts ‼️

It's our last week of skills and drills before the season starts! Come check us out Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 7:30 at our practice field behind beech st school! All kids entering 2nd through 8th grade in the fall are welcome!

If you have any questions at all we will have board members available to speak with in both days!

Next week our season starts and idk about you but I couldn't be more excited!!

We have kept a close eye on the radar all day and unfortunately it doesnt seem to be letting up! We have made the decision to cancel skills and drills for tonight due to the upcoming t-storms moving througg the area!

Thursday is looking to be a beautiful day so we hope to see you all then!!
