BotsBurgh 11792 Bots Burgh is a FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team that has been part of the Upper St. Clair Robotics Club.

Our mission is to innovate, learn, and teach, with a focus on engaging the younger generation in robotics through community outreach.

Botsburgh attending USC community day and parade today! We were in tent #5, making friends, and showing off our FTC robots! Along with , and we all had a lot of fun showing off our robots and fundraising for premier events! We also had a float for the parade, in which we gave candy to children and used our mecanum drivetrain with a candy bucket.

Panther Power Qualifier was an incredible event for Botsburgh! We’re proud that we earned 1st Place Inspire Award, allowing us to qualify for the state championship! Fun fact: this is the first time in Botsburgh history that we got First place Inspire award!

During prelims, we went 5–0, finishing in 2nd place overall. As alliance captain, we selected , and together we competed all the way to the second-to-last playoff match. Competing alongside Terabridges was an amazing experience and we had lots of fun!

Shoutout to and for strong performances at the qualifier!

This Tuesday our team had the amazing opportunity to travel to Irwin, PA to meet with the people at , who offered to the cut out metal on their plasma cutter for V2 of our robot! We also learned about many aspects of plasma and laser cutting and were able to tour their facility.

Bit of a late post but we cooked at the Lancaster Qualifier! We made it all the way to the finals with our helpful alliance partner ! We didn’t win in the finals, but we are very proud of ourselves for making it this far! Additionally, we also achieved 3rd place for the Inspire Award. Congrats to for getting 1st place inspire! At Baker Elementary School, BotsBurgh hosted an FLL Explore Celebration where students showcased their models and explained their ideas through interviews! This event helped kids build confidence, practice communication skills, and feel proud of their creativity by celebrating everyone’s hard work with awards!

Botsburgh visited the Chinmaya Amarnath Temple in Mars, PA to speak with kids from the Pittsburgh Tamil Sangam about robotics! We introduced them what FIRST is and explained the different competitions like FLL and FTC, and showed how robots use sensors to interact with their environment. It was an exciting chance to get them interested in STEM and share how they can get involved in local FIRST team!
