♥️😎

Just got back from California and my heart is still full. 🏕️❤️

I serve as the Community Outreach Director for Camp No Limits — a national nonprofit that empowers kids and families living with limb loss and limb difference. We just finished our California camp and I honestly don't have enough words.

Watching these kids show up — fearless, joyful, determined — reminds me every single time why I do this work.

I was born without my right hand. I grew up feeling different. Feeling like I had to work harder just to keep up. Camp No Limits is the place I wish had existed when I was a kid.

These campers are the living definition of hard to peel. 🥔

If you know a family who would benefit from this program please share this post or visit nolimitsfoundation.org — camps are happening nationwide and the next one is in Illinois June 17–21!

🎓✨ Congratulations to Fernanda Rubio! ✨🎓

Camp No Limits is proud to celebrate Fernanda Rubio, a graduate of Carl Hayden High School! One of the most meaningful moments of her graduation day was achieving a long-time goal—receiving her diploma from her father, Dr. Julio Rubio, the principal of Carl Hayden High School and walking across the stage!

Throughout high school, Fernanda stayed actively involved in her school community. She was a member of the Spanish Honor Society, served as a Teacher Assistant for a reading class, and was the assistant for the Anime Club, demonstrating her leadership, dedication, and willingness to help others.

Fernanda has been part of the Camp No Limits family since she was just 5 years old and has attended camps in Arizona, Maine, Florida, and California. One of her favorite camp memories was meeting Winter the Dolphin, and she credits Camp No Limits with giving her a confidence boost each time she attended.

Fernanda’s journey is one of incredible perseverance and strength. At age 4, she faced a life-threatening illness that nearly took her life. Since then, she has worked tirelessly to walk again and live life as fully and independently as possible.

Her favorite motto says it all:

“I can do it! Or at least I’ll try…”

Fernanda, your resilience, courage, and willingness to keep pushing forward are truly remarkable. We are so proud of all you have accomplished and can’t wait to see where your next chapter takes you. Congratulations, and remember—you can do it! 💙🎓🌟

🎓 Congratulations, Sam Palka! 🎓

Today we are proud to celebrate Sam as he graduates from Saint Louis Priory School as the valedictorian of his class and prepares to attend Boston College, where he has been awarded the prestigious Gabelli Presidential Scholarship!

Throughout high school, Sam excelled both academically and beyond the classroom. In addition to achieving valedictorian honors, he performed violin with the Webster Groves Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra, competed on his school’s cross-country team, and completed an impressive senior thesis project, Lotus Flowers—a stunning stained-glass and enamel painting on glass consisting of 232 individual pieces. The lotus flower, often used as a symbol of growth, perseverance, and resilience, beautifully reflects Sam’s journey and accomplishments throughout high school.

Sam has also been an important part of the Camp No Limits family through the Inspire Program and as a longtime camper at Camp No Limits Missouri. Over the years, we’ve loved watching him challenge himself, and build confidence. Some of his favorite camp memories include learning to ride a bike and conquering the climbing wall, the milestones reflect the determination and spirit he brings to everything he does.

Sam, your hard work, creativity, leadership, and perseverance are admired. We can’t wait to see all that you accomplish at Boston College and beyond.

💙 Congratulations, Sam! Your Camp No Limits family is cheering you on every step of the way! 🎉🎓✨

Today we are thrilled to celebrate Sydney Coblentz on earning her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Fullerton! 🎓

Sydney has been an incredible part of the Camp No Limits family as both a Mentor and Team Leader, bringing compassion, authenticity, and encouragement to everyone she meets. Her willingness to share her experiences and support others has made a lasting impact on our campers and families.

During graduate school, Sydney experienced a life-changing transition as she elected to have surgery for rotationplasty. Throughout that journey, she continued to embrace new challenges and opportunities, including competing with the Women’s National Amputee Soccer Team. She traveled to Colombia helping the team earn a silver medal on the international stage!

Today, Sydney is continuing to make a difference through her work with Bionic Project in Boston and as part of the Street Team for Boston Legacy FC, helping to create more inclusive opportunities and representation in sports and communities. She also continues to take an active role volunteering with Camp No Limits!

When asked what she loves most about Camp No Limits, Sydney shared:
“I love and adore the community, the time and space to be silly, connect with other people who look and move like me, I learned how to ski and Camp sNOw Limits has been my favorite memory!”

Her favorite quote beautifully reflects her journey and the way she approaches life:
“I learned to make a home in the unknown. I am not what I’ve lost; I am what I dared to become.”

Sydney, your courage, leadership, and commitment to helping others inspire all of us. We are so proud of everything you have accomplished and excited to see the many lives you will continue to impact in the years ahead. Congratulations on this incredible achievement! 💙🎉
