How is Riley still waiting?!

Meet Riley, aka “The Lowrider” — the dog who somehow keeps getting overlooked, and honestly, we can’t figure out why.

Riley has been with us for months, patiently waiting for someone to see what his foster family already knows: he’s an absolute gem. In fact, his foster family says he may be the best foster dog they’ve ever had—and they’ve fostered quite a few dogs over the years!

At around 4½ years old and 50 pounds, Riley is the perfect blend of adventure buddy and couch companion. He loves getting out for walks, exploring the world, and enjoying some exercise. But once he’s home? He’s all about snuggling up next to you—or even better, right on top of you if you’ll let him.

BONDED PAIR LOOKING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOME 💕

Meet Trigger and Trixie, two incredibly sweet Maltese siblings who have had their world turned upside down.

After their elderly owner could no longer care for them, these precious dogs came into our rescue needing a great deal of love and medical care. Trigger, at 12 years old, needed to be neutered, while sweet Trixie, age 9, arrived with a mouthful of painful rotten teeth and had to undergo extensive dental surgery, losing most of her teeth in the process.

Despite everything they’ve been through, they have never stopped loving. Since moving into their wonderful foster home, they have blossomed into happy, affectionate little companions. They adore people, crave attention, and will happily be your constant shadow wherever you go.

Most importantly, Trigger and Trixie are deeply bonded to one another. After losing the only home they’ve ever known, we cannot bear the thought of them losing each other too. We know asking for a home willing to adopt both dogs is a big ask, but they truly deserve to stay together.

They also get along beautifully with other animals, making them a lovely addition to many different types of households.

Some dogs come into rescue and find their forever homes almost immediately.

Others arrive carrying the weight of neglect, illness, and heartbreak.

Zelda was one of those dogs.

When we pulled this beautiful senior Shepherd from the shelter, we weren’t sure what her future would hold. She was heartbreakingly thin, medically fragile, and facing a mountain of health challenges. There were moments when we truly feared we might lose her.

But Zelda had something on her side: a foster family willing to fight for her every step of the way.

For weeks, they poured their hearts into her recovery. They cooked special meals when she wouldn’t eat, administered countless medications, tracked every ounce she gained, and loved her through every setback and every victory.

And then something incredible happened.

The sick, scared dog who arrived at their home slowly began to disappear. In her place emerged the real Zelda—the one who wagged her tail, ran around the yard, and showed off the goofy, silly personality that so few people ever got the chance to see.

Today, we are beyond thrilled to share that Zelda’s foster family has made it official.

They aren’t letting her go.

They have chosen to make her a permanent member of their family.

This is what happens when someone refuses to give up on the underdog.

And this is why foster families are the heart of rescue.

While rescue organizations can save dogs from shelters, families like Zelda’s save them in a completely different way. They heal broken bodies, rebuild broken spirits, and give dogs a chance to become who they were always meant to be.

We wish we had a million foster families just like them.

Meet Scout!

Scout is an adorable 7 month old pup weighing about 40 pounds of pure puppy fun! Smart, curious, and incredibly friendly, she’s always ready for her next adventure.

Scout absolutely adores other dogs, has previously lived with a senior cat, and is thriving in her active foster home. Like any young puppy, she’s still working on her basic obedience skills, but she’s eager to learn and picks things up quickly with consistency.

Scout would love a home that will continue exposing her to new adventures while helping guide her through the puppy stage. She loves car rides, swimming, and anything that involves spending time with her people.

Meet Junior!

This big-headed mush ball is looking for his forever home! ❤️

Junior was rescued from the Bronx and is about 1 1/2 years old. He’s the total package: house-trained, crate-trained, and ready to become someone’s loyal sidekick.

Junior currently lives with multiple other dogs and does great with them. That said, he has a huge zest for life and brings a lot of enthusiasm wherever he goes. His playful energy may be a little much for some senior dogs, so he’d thrive with canine friends who enjoy roughhousing and keeping up with his pace.

If you’re an active person who loves hiking, road trips, long walks, beach days, or any kind of adventure, Junior is ready to be right by your side. He’s the kind of dog who turns every outing into a fun experience and every day into an adventure.

We would like to reintroduce you to our boy Maverick.🩵

Maverick is a 4.5-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. He was adopted from us when he was an adolescent pup & sadly his owners made the difficult decision to return him because they were unable to dedicate the time, structure, and consistency needed for the type of training he thrives with.

Since returning, Maverick has been working with a professional trainer who is also fostering him, and he has been doing extremely well in the structured environment with the trainer and their family.

Maverick is fully e-collar trained and would do best with an active family that can continue fulfilling both his physical and mental needs. He enjoys staying engaged, active, and being part of a routine.

To help set Maverick up for success, we believe he would do best in a home with older children/teenagers or an adult-only home. He thrives with structure, consistency, and an environment that can continue supporting his training and needs. He is an active guy who needs an outlet, luckily, he absolutely loves his time on the treadmill, which helps him so much.
Once his mental and physical needs have been met, all he wants to do is cuddle up to his people as close as possible. He is a sweet and lovable boy who loves other dogs as well🩵

(His adoption will come training support from his current trainer and foster mom!)

Meet Wasabi! 🐾 Wasabi is an adorable 5-year-old boy weighing about 15 pounds who is ready to find his forever home! This sweet pup loves playing fetch, cuddling with his people, and going on walks. He’s both house and crate trained, making him an easy addition to a loving family.

Wasabi would thrive in a home where he can enjoy plenty of daily walks, playtime, and, of course, lots of tennis ball chasing. When he’s not busy playing, he’s happy to curl up for snuggles and spend quality time with his favorite humans.

Meet Tarzan ❤️

We have absolutely no idea what breed mix Tarzan is, but if you ask us, he looks like a miniature Bullmastiff — a perfectly compact little meatball with the cutest squishy face and an even sweeter personality.

At around 2 years old and just over 40 pounds, Tarzan is the perfect low-rider size. He loves attention, soaks up affection wherever he can get it, and is always ready to ham it up for the camera. Just take one look at his photos and videos and you’ll see exactly what we mean!

Despite his tough-guy looks, Tarzan is a big softie. His foster mom recently caught him hiding from a bumblebee because he was scared of it, which may honestly be one of the cutest things we’ve ever heard. 🐝🥰

Today was a day we have been dreaming about for Fenny.

Our sweet tripod girl was fitted for a prosthetic leg, and while she may not fully understand what happened today, we certainly do.

When Fenny was found, she was missing half of her leg. We will never know exactly what she went through before she came into rescue, but we do know she has faced more challenges in her young life than any dog ever should. Through it all, she has remained one of the happiest, sweetest, most loving dogs you could ever meet.

The amazing thing about dogs is that they don’t sit around feeling sorry for themselves. Fenny learned to run, play, and enjoy life on three legs. But we also know there are things she has missed out on. Long walks. Longer adventures. The ability to run without tiring so quickly. The chance to simply move through the world a little more easily.

Today was about giving her that chance.

We want Fenny to have the very best life possible, not just because she survived what happened to her, but because she deserves it. Every dog deserves the opportunity to live life to the fullest.

None of this would have been possible without all of you. Every donation, every share, every kind word, and every person who believes in our mission helped make today happen. Because of your support, a little dog who once had so much stacked against her now has a future filled with even more possibilities.

We are also incredibly grateful to the wonderful team who worked with Fenny today. Their kindness, compassion, patience, and expertise made us feel confident that she was in the very best hands. .pets

Thank you for helping us give this special girl something she has never had before—a chance to take life on with four legs.

What a day! ☀️🐾

Yesterday’s adoption event at
was absolutely amazing. The weather was beautiful, and not even the wind could stop us from having a fantastic time! Our rescue pups soaked up the sunshine, made lots of new friends, and enjoyed every minute of being out and about. We were also thrilled to connect with other rescue groups and fellow animal lovers throughout the day.

While only a couple of our dogs may have found their forever families, the day was still a huge success. Seeing these deserving dogs happy, relaxed, and enjoying life made it all worthwhile. ❤️

Many of the dogs featured in these photos and videos are still searching for their forever homes, so please keep sharing their stories. The more people who see them, the better their chances of finding the loving families they deserve.

A huge thank you to for hosting us and to our good friend for all of her support throughout the years. We are so grateful for everyone who stopped by, said hello, and helped make the day so special!
