Today, the Fraternal Order of Police recognizes World Mental Health Day and the importance of taking care of our mental health just as seriously as our physical health.

For those who serve, the weight of the job doesn’t always end when the shift does. Behind the badge is a person—a spouse, parent, friend, coworker, and member of our community.

Checking on one another matters. Asking for help is a sign of strength, and no one should feel like they have to carry the weight alone.

Today and every day, we encourage our brothers and sisters in law enforcement—and everyone in our communities—to check in with one another, speak up when you’re struggling, and support those who may be having a difficult time.

You are never alone.
