Caring Hearts Helping Hands is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers in Kent County, Delaware. It supports families who for various reasons or circumstances could use some assistance throughout the year by allowing them to shop (free of charge) in the warehouse for donated items. CHHH also provides Christmas, and Back To School programs. Client families are matched with wishgrantors

who financially support the various programs. CHHH will gratefully receive monetary donations and welcomes volunteers

🌟 Thriving Minds: Summer Youth Program is back!🌟
Are you looking for a meaningful and fun way for your teen to spend a week this summer? Registration opens May 8, 2026, for the Thriving Minds Youth Mental Health & Wellness program!

This week-long series is designed for youth ages 12-15 to learn essential mental well-being and coping strategies that help in all areas of life.

🗓️ Program Details:
Dates: July 20–24, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: UD Cooperative Extension Paradee Center, 69 Transportation Circle, Dover, DE
Cost: $80 (Siblings receive a $40 discount each!)

🎨 What Youth Will Learn & Do:
-Participants will engage in fun indoor and outdoor activities, including:
-Skill Building: Self-regulation, self-awareness, and communication skills.
-Active Learning: Archery and self-defense skills.
-Growth: Empathy, compassion, and building healthy relationships.
-Social Fun: Arts, fitness, and socializing with peers.

📝 Important Info:
Registration: Limited to 15 participants—act fast!
Lunch: Youth are required to bring their own lunch.

Bayhealth Family Medicine in Dover is providing free sports physicals on Saturday, July 25 from 8 a.m. to noon at Bayhealth Family Medicine, 1074 S. State Street.

Parents and guardians can register their children at Bayhealth.org/Sports-Physicals. Appointments are limited and are available to schedule online only.

This event reflects Bayhealth’s commitment to provide access to care and strengthen the health of the community. Residents and attending physicians from Bayhealth’s Graduate Medical Education Family Medicine Residency Program will be providing the free sports physicals. The physicians in the practice provide primary care for the whole family, including pregnant women, infants to those 65+ and patients with mental health needs.
