Looking for a mission opportunity? Christ First UMC in Chestertown, MD is planning a mission trip June 21-27, 2026 to Boone, NC regarding the long-term flood recovery for the area. Welcome Annemarie!!

The Baltimore-Washington and Peninsula-Delaware Conferences are pleased to welcome Annemarie Schaefer as the new Area Wellness & Missions Coordinator, beginning the week of March 16. Annemarie will serve in a hybrid capacity, with her primary office located in Dover.

In this part-time role, Annemarie will support the new Area Wellness & Missions Board, as well as the Conference Disaster Response Coordinators, Conference Volunteers in Mission (VIM) Coordinators, and Area Secretary on Global Ministries. Together with these leaders, she will help strengthen ministries related to abundant health, disaster response, Volunteers in Mission, and global ministry across our conferences.

Annemarie brings experience in organizational leadership and operational coordination within global and mission-driven organizations, along with professional experience working within healthcare systems and alongside disaster response efforts. Her work has focused on building strong systems, coordinating complex initiatives across distributed teams, and supporting people so that meaningful service and mission efforts can flourish.

We are grateful for the gifts Annemarie brings and look forward to the ways her leadership will help equip congregations and leaders for ministries of healing, service, and connection across our conferences.
