Go Team Therapy Dogs Madison

Therapy Dogs on the move! Disaster areas, schools, hospitals, special events, senior centers, assisted living facilities, anywhere a therapy dog is needed.

The GO TEAM Therapy/Crisis/Service Dogs is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to placing well-trained, certified therapy dog teams in programs that provide comfort and caring through a canine-human bond. Our special volunteers serve in a wide variety of settings including assisted living homes, libraries, schools, and hospitals. Teams provide help to victims in distress and work with our servicemen, first responders, and anywhere a therapy/comfort dog is needed.

Our golden boy is officially 8 years old! 💛🐾 And somehow, he just keeps getting more handsome, more lovable, and more enthusiastic about being everyone’s best friend.

Max has a heart as golden as his coat and a special talent for bringing smiles wherever he goes. Whether he’s out making visits, soaking up attention, or simply being his wonderful Golden Retriever self, he’s a pretty pawsome ambassador for Go Team! ❤️🖤

🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

Today, we’re celebrating the dogs who make us smile, comfort us when we need it most, and remind us that sometimes the smallest moments can make the biggest difference. ❤️🐶

Our Go Team dogs may come in all shapes, sizes, breeds, and personalities—but they all share one incredible gift: the ability to bring comfort, connection, and joy wherever they go. From gentle giant cuddles to happy tail wags and everything in between, we are so grateful for the paws that help us make a difference in our community. 🐾❤️

Where were our dogs? 🐾❤️🖤

They were out making a BIG impression at National Night Out in Cottage Grove! 🎉🚓

Hazel, Tabitha, Riverbelle, Zinnia, Sully, Max, and Pip spent the evening soaking up the sunshine, meeting the community, and sharing plenty of wagging tails and happy greetings. From our gentle giants to our littlest ambassadors, this crew was ready to remind everyone that a little time with a therapy dog can make any night even better. 🐶❤️

Thank you, Cottage Grove, for welcoming our GO TEAM crew and for bringing the community together to celebrate the people who help keep us safe! 🇺🇸

Our Go Team dogs have been making the most of summer!

💦 Pip discovered that she can SWIM… and she is pretty excited about this new life skill! 🐶🏊‍♀️

Meanwhile, Max and Sully would like everyone to know that they have carefully considered the water situation and have decided that land is just fine, thank you very much. 😂🐾

🏁 FAST, FURRY & FULL SPEED AHEAD! 🏁

Some dogs chase squirrels. Some chase balls. Leia and Pip chase the clock! 💨🐾

These two have been having an absolute BLAST tearing up the Fast CAT course this summer—and today, they crossed the finish line with even more to celebrate! 🎉

That’s a whole lot of running, a whole lot of speed, and a whole lot of fun packed into two very speedy little Go Team dogs! ❤️🖤

We couldn’t be more proud of these girls and their handlers. Congratulations, Leia & Pip! Now…who’s ready for the next run?! 🐕💨

🎉🎂 Happy Birthday to our sweet Leia! 🎂🎉

Today we’re celebrating one very special Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who proves that the biggest hearts can come in the smallest packages. ❤️

Whether she’s brightening someone’s day with her gentle cuddles, making new friends on a visit, or charming everyone she meets with those soulful eyes, Leia has a way of making people feel seen, loved, and just a little bit happier.

Meet our President of the Board of Directors

Cheryl Minto

Cheryl wasn’t born in Idaho, but she got there as quick as she could after a 24-year career in the Air Force as a maintainer and logistician. She has a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California, an Masters of Science in Management from Troy State University and an Masters of Science in National Security and Resource Strategy from National Defense University. Cheryl joined Go Team in 2018 with her Rough Collie, Winston, and loves bringing smiles to the community. She also volunteers as an EMT in her rural county and helps maintain and manage the administration of her local Catholic Church – St Joseph’s Catholic Chapel in Idaho City. Cheryl and her husband, Pat, enjoy traveling, mountain biking, hiking and just enjoying Idaho’s beautiful outdoors. Cheryl and her Go Team Therapy Dogs Winston have completed over 900 volunteer visits!

Some of the best moments in life are the ones shared together.

Pip, Max, Sully, and Lizzy spent time brightening the day for residents and staff at Heritage Senior Living, filling the halls with wagging tails, happy smiles, and plenty of four-legged love. From gentle cuddles and belly rubs to stories shared with old friends and new, every visit was a reminder that joy has a way of multiplying when a therapy dog is nearby.

Some days call for a little extra love… and sometimes that love comes in an extra-large package! 💙

Belle, Trevor, and Gary spent time visiting with the wonderful residents at Hattie’s Glen Assisted Living, sharing gentle nuzzles, warm smiles, and plenty of unforgettable moments.

From Belle’s sweet spirit to Trevor and Gary’s gentle giant charm, every visit was filled with wagging tails, happy hearts, and the kind of connection that stays with you long after the visit ends.

Thank you to everyone at Hattie’s Glen for welcoming our team. We can’t wait to see you again! ❤️🐾
