💜 Meet the Hearts Behind Greater Things

Every conference, every prayer, every warm welcome, and every meaningful connection begins with women who have simply said “yes” to where God is leading.

Today we’re honored to introduce you to June, one of our founding board members.

June has spent her life investing in others and encouraging them to discover the gifts and potential God has placed within them. Since the very beginning of Greater Things Now, she has faithfully served on our Board of Directors, helping shape a ministry rooted in Faith, Hope, Joy, and Connection.

What inspires June most is seeing women encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and build authentic relationships that remind them they were never meant to walk alone.

Outside of Greater Things, June has been married to her husband, Tony, for 43 years. Together they have raised two children and are blessed with one grandchild.

June, thank you for your faithful servant’s heart and for helping make Greater Things a place where women can experience the love and hope of Christ.

💜 Leave June some love in the comments and thank her for the countless ways she serves behind the scenes!

What are you seeking today?

If we’re honest, we’re all searching for something.
Peace in the middle of uncertainty.
Purpose in a season of waiting.
Healing from hurts no one else can see.
Direction for the next step.
A place where we truly belong.

Jesus understood the desires of our hearts, which is why He gave us this simple invitation:
“Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Matthew 6:33

Notice He doesn’t tell us to stop seeking.
He simply redirects our focus.
When we seek God first, our circumstances may not change overnight but our perspective does. We begin to see His faithfulness, His provision, and His peace in ways we might have missed before.
So before you chase the next answer, opportunity, or solution today…
Seek Him first.

💜 We’d love to hear from you…

This weekend, we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy as Americans, and we’re grateful for them! 🙏

But today, we also want to remember an even greater freedom…
The freedom Christ offers.

Freedom from shame that whispers you’re not enough.
Freedom from fear that keeps you from moving forward.
Freedom from the weight of your past.
Freedom to become the woman God created you to be.
That kind of freedom isn’t earned. It’s a gift.

As you gather with family and friends this weekend, ask yourself:
How can I share that freedom with someone else?
Maybe it’s through an encouraging conversation.
A prayer with a friend.
A kind word to someone who feels forgotten.
Or simply reminding someone they are deeply loved by God.❤️

Sometimes the greatest act of service is helping another woman experience the hope and freedom you’ve found in Christ.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” — Galatians 5:1

From all of us at Greater Things, we pray your weekend is filled with gratitude, joy, and the peace that comes from knowing true freedom is found in Him. 🇺🇸💜

Sometimes the most powerful prayer is simply… “God, I need You.”

Jesus never told us to have all the answers before coming to Him.
He simply said…
“Ask.” (Matthew 7:7)

No prayer is too small.
No burden is too heavy.
No question is too difficult for God.
Whatever you’re carrying today, bring it to Him.💜

What can we pray with you about today? We’d be honored to pray with you. 🙏 Share your prayer request in the comments or send us a private message.

Every story has a beginning… and this is ours. 💜

Several years ago, God placed a dream on one woman’s heart.

What began as a master’s capstone project became a calling. Inspired by the life-changing impact of a Christian women’s conference and a desire to create that same opportunity here in our community, Julie McCarthy simply said yes to what God was asking her to do.

That “yes” led to conversations around a kitchen table with friends who shared the same vision. Those conversations became prayers. The prayers became plans. And in 2023, the very first Greater Things Women’s Conference was born.

Today, Greater Things is more than a conference. It’s a community built on four simple pillars: Faith. Hope. Joy. Connection. It’s a place where women are encouraged, equipped, and reminded that God has created them for greater things.

Today we’re excited to introduce you to our founder, Julie McCarthy, as she shares a special invitation to this year’s conference.

We hope you’ll take a moment to watch her story and maybe even ask yourself…

What might God do through one simple “yes” from you?

💜 “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” — Ephesians 3:20
