🌷 SUNDAY THOUGHT | What if God is already at work?

Have you ever prayed for something, waited for an answer, and wondered if God was even listening?

Maybe you’ve been asking for direction. Praying for someone you love. Waiting for a door to open. Or quietly carrying something that nobody else even knows about.

Here’s something to think about as we head into a new week…

Just because you can’t SEE God moving doesn’t mean He isn’t WORKING. ❤️

Sometimes His greatest work is happening in the waiting. Sometimes He’s preparing our hearts before He changes our circumstances. And sometimes the answer looks completely different from what we imagined.

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 7:7 to ASK, SEEK, and KNOCK.

Not because God needs convincing.

But because He invites us into a relationship where we keep coming to Him, trusting Him, and growing closer to Him.

So, ladies, as you head into this new week, don’t stop praying. Don’t stop seeking. And don’t let a season of waiting convince you that God has forgotten you.

He is faithful in the waiting, present in the uncertainty, and worthy of our trust in every season.

💛 Here’s my Sunday question for you:

What if this week, instead of asking God to change your circumstances, you asked Him to show you how He’s working IN them?

Greater Things are not always about what God does around us. Sometimes they’re about what He’s doing WITHIN us.

I keep coming back to this picture.

I don’t know how long I’ve stared at it, but every time I do, I see something else.

The strength. The tenderness. The stillness.

And the more I look, the more it challenges me.

Look at her.

She’s resting beside something far more powerful than herself. No fear. No resistance. No need to be in control.

Just complete surrender.

And I wonder…

Do I really trust God like that?

Oh, I believe in His power. I’ve witnessed His faithfulness. I’ve watched Him carry me through things I never thought I’d get through.

But do I actually REST in Him?

Or do I spend my days praying about things and then exhausting myself trying to figure out how He’s going to answer?

Do I trust Him only when I can see His hand moving? When the circumstances make sense? When the outcome looks the way I hoped?

Or can I lay my head down in complete peace when absolutely nothing around me makes sense?

That’s what gets me about this picture.

The lion hasn’t lost an ounce of his strength because he’s gentle. And she hasn’t become weak because she’s surrendered.

His strength makes her surrender possible.

And isn’t that exactly what Jesus invites us into?

Not a life without heartache. Not a promise that every prayer will be answered the way we want. Not an escape from the hard things this world brings.

But a place of rest IN THE MIDDLE of it all.

I’m learning that surrender isn’t giving up. It’s giving over.

Giving over the outcomes. The people I love. The things I cannot fix. The questions I don’t have answers to. Even the dreams I’ve held so tightly.

And perhaps the hardest part of surrender isn’t placing those things in God’s hands.

It’s leaving them there.

Psalm 131:2 says, “I have calmed and quieted my soul.”

What a beautiful picture of a soul that has learned to be still before God.

Not because everything is settled.

But because it knows WHO is holding it.

I think that’s why I can’t stop looking at this picture.

Something deep inside me longs for that kind of rest.

Not just to know that God is strong.

But to live like I actually believe He is.

Lord, teach me to rest that deeply in You. ❤️

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: BRENDA 💛

I asked Brenda a simple question:

“What drew you to GTN Women?”

Her answer?

“It was all about Jesus.”

That pretty much says it all.😊

Brenda has never even attended a GTN Women’s Conference and yet she is volunteering with us! She simply saw what this community was about, knew she wanted to be part of it, and jumped in to serve.

And serve she has.

She has shown up, helped wherever she could, and done it all with that beautiful smile you see right here.

This year will be extra special because after serving and helping prepare the way for other women, Brenda will finally experience her very first GTN Women’s Conference herself.

Brenda, thank you for seeing the heart behind Greater Things. Thank you for serving so joyfully and reminding us why we do what we do.

It really is all about Jesus. ❤️

Hello, October. 🤎🧡

There’s something about turning the calendar to a new month that feels like an invitation.

Not to have everything figured out.
Not to suddenly become a different person.
But to keep moving forward in faith.

Maybe September didn’t go the way you hoped.
Maybe you’re still waiting on an answer.
Maybe God is asking you to trust Him in a place where you can’t quite see what He’s doing yet.

Keep asking.
Keep seeking.
Keep knocking.

A new month doesn’t mean we leave everything behind. Sometimes it simply reminds us that God is still writing the story.

So as we step into October, let’s walk in with open hands, expectant hearts, and the courage to believe there are still GREATER THINGS ahead.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” — Matthew 7:7

Welcome, October. We’re ready.
