Huge thanks to Play It Again Sports - Madison for donating 23 pairs of snowshoes to Aldo Leopold Nature Center! ❄️🙌

Because of their generosity, we now have even more snowshoes available for free rental, helping remove barriers for folks who want to get outside and explore nature in winter.

While snowshoeing conditions aren’t quite perfect right now, we’re ready for the next good snowfall — and we’re so grateful to have this gear on hand when winter really shows up.

We just made the reservation for the Richardson Lake camping event. That event is Thursday, June 18 through Sunday, June 21. Reservations are now open for that weekend to book your own site if you need to bring a wheeled unit or the remaining three spots on Jared's site are taken. RSVPs are open for those spots on Meetup.

11/15/2025

If you're looking for something to do tonight, Jared is hosting a bonfire at ring 2 at Picnic Point from 5 to 10pm. There are benches, but you might want to bring a camp chair. Bring beverages and snacks but note that alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the Lakeshore Preserve.

11/01/2025

Just a reminder that we have a bonfire tonight at Token Creek County Park at 6pm. Feel free to arrive as late as 830pm. More details are on the Meetup website and app. We'll be at the fire pit near shelter 2, which is first one on the left.
