Indiana is the home of a future $3.5 billion EV battery plant.

Samsung SDI & General Motors finalized a deal for the joint venture in August, with production slated to begin in 2027.

South Korea's Samsung SDI said on Wednesday it has completed an agreement with General Motors to build a joint electric vehicle (EV) battery factory in the U.S. state of Indiana.

Good news for EV sales in Q2 of 2024!

Combined sales of hybrid vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and battery electric vehicles rose to 18.7% of total new light-duty vehicle sales from April-June.
