Some journeys are proof that determination can overcome just about anything—and Taylor's story is exactly that.

A mother of four, Taylor was working part-time as a CNA while juggling financial uncertainty, an aging laptop that barely held a charge, and the everyday challenges of supporting her family. But she had a dream: to become a nurse who could truly make a difference for patients and their families.

Through our WIOA program, Taylor got connected to funding resources, educational support, and even a personal laptop through United Way of Wisconsin's Techquity—removing barriers that stood between her and her goal. 💻

We're happy to share that Taylor graduated from NWTC's LPN program, landed a stable role as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Emplify Health by Bellin, and passed the NCLEX on her first attempt this June! 🙌

And she's not stopping there—Taylor's already working toward her RN and BSN, with her sights set on one day working in a NICU. 💙

Eddie entered our Highway Construction Skills Training (HCST) program with one thing driving him every single day: building a better future for his daughter.

From day one, he went above and beyond. Before even enrolling in Fox Valley Technical College's Behind the Wheel program, Eddie took the initiative to independently earn his Class A CDL permit and FED/MED card. He even went on to earn his Manual Class A CDL License plus doubles and tanker endorsements. 👏

Commuting daily from Appleton, Eddie never missed a class and was never late. Every early morning, every challenge, every certification — it was all for his daughter. ♥️

In April, that hard work paid off when Eddie was hired by Carew Concrete & Supply Co. Since then, he's been dropping chutes and pouring concrete across communities including Appleton, Sheboygan, Waupaca, Scandinavia, and New London — proving himself as a dependable, hardworking member of the team. 🚛

Eddie's story is proof that HCST training isn't just about gaining skills — it's about creating stability, opportunity, and hope for families. 💪

When Maddy started in our WIOA program, she was still in high school with one clear goal: become a Registered Nurse. The path wasn't easy. Super high expenses and the demands of a rigorous nursing program stood between her and that dream. But Maddy refused to let setbacks stop her.

With support from our WIOA program Maddy stayed on track and kept pushing forward.

She completed her Associate Degree in Nursing, passed the NCLEX, and is now working full-time as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department!

We had a blast at the 3rd Annual Langlade County Health Fair in Antigo! This year's theme was Superheroes, and our team suited up in full costume to help connect community members with resources and share what FSC has to offer.

We were thrilled to connect 50 eligible individuals with laptops through our partnership with the United Way of Wisconsin's Techquity program! Our team also handed out healthy hero coloring sheets and superhero stickers to kids, while encouraging adults to reach for their dreams and take advantage of the opportunities around them.

It was a fun-filled day centered on health, wellness, education, and community connection — and our superheroes were proud to be part of it! 💪

After five years of incarceration, Timothy faced steep odds: no reliable transportation, no appropriate work clothes, and years away from the private-sector job market. But he walked into our FSET program ready to work, ready to learn, and determined to build a better future.

With support from his FSET Case Manager and the program's coaching, resume help, and interview prep — plus practical assistance like gas cards, work attire, and vehicle repairs — Timothy pushed through rejection after rejection until he landed the job that would change his trajectory.

Today, he's employed, focused, and dreaming bigger: owning a home, growing into a leadership role, and one day giving back to the community that helped him rebuild.

💙 When Community Needs Us, We Show Up. 💙

Staff from our Menasha and Oshkosh offices stood alongside our neighbors facing the recent tornado disaster damage in Appleton and Menasha. Our team went door-to-door, checking in on people's health and safety, offering trash bags and resources, and most importantly, taking the time to simply listen. 👂

Thanks to United Way Fox Cities, families could scan a code and share exactly what they needed, and see those needs met right at their door. Talk about community coming together! 🙌

A special shout-out to our W-2 case worker, Mikayla, for connecting with Volunteer Fox Cities and getting our team involved. 🌟

Way to go, team for showing up for our neighbors when it matters most.👏
