🚨All MMSD & MSCR summer programming for students will be canceled on Friday, July 17🚨

Smoke from wildfires in Canada and Minnesota is expected to continue to reach Unhealthy (Red) to Hazardous (Maroon) air quality levels through noon on Friday, July 17. Because of this, and due to rising temperatures, all MMSD and MSCR summer programming for students will be canceled on Friday, July 17.

🎒MMSD summer programming courses for elementary, middle and high school students, including virtual courses
🎒MMSD/MSCR Summer Recreation & Enrichment Center and Youth Resource Center programs
🎒MSCR summer camps & community programs
🎒MMSD athletic practices and programming
🎒Access to all MMSD buildings and grounds, including for staff

Summer meals will continue to be offered at MMSD’s comprehensive high schools. Please locate the high school nearest your usual meal service site for continued summer meal service.

🚨 Weather Update for Tuesday, June 30
Due to forecasted extreme heat (heat index of 95–108°F), all MMSD elementary summer school classes are canceled on Tuesday, June 30.

✅ Middle and high school summer semester programming will continue as scheduled.
🍎 Summer meals will still be available at MMSD comprehensive high schools. Please visit the high school nearest your usual meal service site for meal service.
☀️ MSCR Summer Camps are canceled. Other outdoor MSCR programs may also be canceled in accordance with weather guidance. Participants will be notified directly of any program changes.

The safety of our students, staff and community remains our top priority. We will continue monitoring conditions and share updates as needed.

Please follow National Weather Service heat safety guidance: limit time outdoors, avoid strenuous activity, stay hydrated and keep cool.

There's still time to get your scoops - the Sequoya Commons/Midvale location is open until 9 p.m. 20% of sales from the day will be donated back. We appreciate the support!

What a beautiful day to get some ice cream! You are invited to grab a scoop (or two) of ice cream at Chocolate Shoppe (555 S. Midvale Blvd) today from 11am-9pm as part of our restaurant night series. 20% of all purchases will be donated to support our Hamilton Orchestra. Hope to see you there!

Dear Hamilton Families,

Spring conferences are coming up and we hosting a potluck style lunch for staff on Friday, April 24. PTO is providing sandwiches from Hyvee and we are asking families to bring a dish, and onsite help the day-of to help setup, serve, and clean up. Dishes that do not need refrigeration can be dropped off in the morning. Otherwise, please drop off your dish (and serving utensils) at 11:30am. Lunch is from 12:05-12:40 in the culinary room. Cleanup is from 2-2:30pm.

We appreciate all you do to help support our staff!
