🏥 GYPSY UPDATE: SHE NEEDS US, AND SO DO OUR AGING RESCUE ANIMALS.🐾
We have some good news to share: Gypsy’s pancreatitis has improved, but she still has another serious condition we’ll be managing for the rest of her life.
Gypsy has a collapsed trachea, which means her windpipe weakens and narrows instead of staying open like it should. This can make it difficult to breathe and cause frightening coughing episodes, or even respiratory distress. She will need a quiet, low-stress, low-activity lifestyle.
We are relieved she’s improving, but the financial reality is frightening.
Our rescue animals are getting older, and with age comes more medical needs, more medications, more tests, more emergencies, and more expensive veterinary care.
These animals deserve to grow old safely, surrounded by love. Not have their care limited by a lack of funds. 😔
Yet we are constantly struggling to raise enough to cover even the basics. When an emergency hits, we’re left feeling desperate and panicked, trying to figure out how to pay for the care an animal urgently needs when donations are already stretched so thin.
Our veterinarian has been incredibly kind and compassionate, working with us wherever possible. We are so grateful. But veterinary care costs money, and the people providing it deserve to be paid. Good intentions and grateful hearts simply cannot pay medical bills.
‼️We need your help‼️
Not just for Gypsy, but for every aging animal in our care who will eventually need extra medical attention.
Please consider making a donation toward our veterinary and emergency medical fund. Every single dollar helps us provide treatment, medication, testing, and the chance for these precious souls to enjoy their golden years in comfort.
If you can’t donate, please share this post. You never know who might see it and be able to help.
They spent their lives needing someone to care. We promised we would be that someone.
Please help us keep that promise.❤️🐾
