Want to take control of your Missouri tax dollars? Gifts to FosterAdopt Connect qualify for a 70% Missouri State Tax Credit, which can be applied to your tax liability now or carried forward up to 5 years. That means a gift of $1,000 could cost you as little as $129 out of pocket — all while directly supporting children and families navigating the foster care system.

Any individual or business with Missouri business income may be eligible, including rental property owners, farm operations, S-Corps, LLCs, and more. Reach out to Carla Randall at [email protected] or 417-349-6860 to learn more, and consult your tax advisor for details specific to your situation.

🤔 FAC FAQs: What does it cost to foster or adopt?

There is no fee associated with becoming a licensed foster parent. You will have to purchase items such as a fire extinguisher and pay for your medical exam which are necessary to become licensed. Foster parents receive a monthly payment to help cover the cost of the child’s food, clothing, and personal allowance. The first check will not come until a month or so after the child does, so foster parents need enough money in the budget to support their family and the new child/children until the first reimbursement is received.
