Operation Underdog at a Glance…
Operation Underdog provides a monthly low cost spay and neuter trip to the public. This trip is offered at no charge to the community other than the cost of the procedure. In 2016 a total of 246 animals were transported to the clinic to help decrease the number of unwanted litters and minimize the amount of animals brought into the shelter. Operation Underdog volunt

eers work daily securing rescue and vetting for both community and shelter animals. We offer free out of state transport to shelters to assist them in maintaining low euthanasia rates. In 2016 we transported 1201 animals to safety. Operation Underdog also has animals available for adoption. Many of these animals were pulled from kill shelters when their time was up, rescued from lives of neglect as strays, or were taken into our care to prevent them from entering local shelters. Our adoption process includes an application, a home visit, and a contract. All underdogs are up to date with vaccinations, micro chipped, heartworm tested, and spayed or neutered. We occasionally have undercats available for adoption as well! We are a volunteer based, 501c3 nonprofit organization. All of our animals live in foster care with loving families as we search for their forever homes. When we have the funds, we assist with medical emergencies and offer free spays and neuters to those in need. We also assist with dog houses and straw when a dog has no shelter. Please consider donating this year and being part of the solution. Take an active role in making our community a better place for our 4 legged best friends. Your donation is tax deductible.

Spay/Neuter Opportunity and Low-Cost Vaccine Option going on NOW! Animals MUST be up to date on vaccinations in prior to surgery. Do NOT miss this opportunity for AFFORDABLE LIFESAVING VACCINES! A rabies shot is required BY LAW for dogs and cats. It is a public health risk for humans. Parvo and distemper can be deadly, with distemper mortality rates being very high. The dogs that do survive distemper often have lifelong neurological side effects or even paralysis. Parvo can also be deadly and is expensive to treat. Please protect your pets with preventative care! Save lives with Spay/Neuter!! Please share!

📣 We’ve been listening to your feedback regarding online scheduling, and we’re hopeful this new process will make things a little easier and more predictable for everyone moving forward! 💜🐾

Beginning this month, we will be releasing the following month’s spay/neuter appointments online on a set day and time each month. For June appointments, all available spots will go live on:

🗓 Thursday, May 28th
⏰ 12:00 PM (noon)

Please keep in mind that we currently have one veterinarian, so appointment availability is limited and spots may fill very quickly — potentially within the first few hours. If you are unable to secure an appointment, we encourage you to continue checking the website regularly for cancellations, as openings will reappear online in real-time. Otherwise, the next batch of appointments will be released for July scheduling next month.

We kindly ask that clients avoid repeatedly calling the front desk regarding scheduling availability, as our team will not be able to accommodate a large influx of scheduling calls while also caring for surgery patients and assisting clients in-clinic throughout the day.

📧 For scheduling questions or concerns, please email: [email protected]

We know there may be a few bumps as we roll out this new process (for us too 😅), but we’re committed to learning, adjusting, and improving it moving forward.

PLEASE READ ALL the graphic below carefully for additional scheduling details, deposits, approval times, and surgery information. ⬇️

Thank you all for your patience and continued support as we work to provide affordable spay/neuter services to our community. 🐾

Happy Tails to Sky! Now called Ruby, she is settling in well with her new family in Maryland enjoying walks and playtime and encouraging her sister Clover to spend more time outside. Her mom describes her as bright and happy and wanting to be included in all they do! 🥰 We are so thrilled for a bright new start for this deserving little girl.
