The J Lee Foundation for the Arts & Sciences is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering high school graduates through higher education scholarships. Save the date. Join the jLee Foundation for the 13th Annual Golfing for Scholars Tournament on Monday, July 20, 2026 at The Resort at Glade Springs. Tee time begins at 12:00. This annual event helps support students pursuing careers in science and technology while bringing the community together for a great day of golf. Since 2012, the JLee Foundation, founded by Jim and Dale Hern, has awarded over $450,000 in scholarships to students across West Virginia, Virginia, and the Carolinas—including annual scholarships for all four Raleigh County high schools.

This year’s Golfing for Scholars tournament is our biggest fundraiser, helping students pursue their dreams with four-year merit-based support.
