We were this way Monday, I actually was looking for a moose.

Moose spotted in Tunbridge — slow down out there.
Deputy Dow recently observed a moose along a roadway in Tunbridge. A good reminder that these animals show up well beyond the Northeast Kingdom.
Wildlife-vehicle collisions are a real risk on Vermont roads:
• 19 people have died in moose-vehicle crashes in Vermont since 1985.
• Motorists struck 36 moose on Vermont highways in 2022 and 41 in 2023.
• An adult moose can stand 6+ feet at the shoulder and weigh 800–1,200+ pounds. Unlike a deer, the impact often comes through the windshield or roof. Studies in northern New England found a moose collision is about 13 times more likely to kill a vehicle occupant than a deer collision.
• Vermont ranks among the higher-risk states for animal-vehicle crashes (State Farm has put the odds around 1 in 108). Deer collisions are far more common; moose collisions are far more dangerous.
What to do:
• Slow down at dusk, dawn, and after dark.
• Scan the shoulders, not just the pavement ahead.
• Don’t overdrive your headlights. Moose are dark and often don’t reflect light the way deer do.
• If you see one, slow down or stop. Do not try to speed past it.
• If you see one moose, assume there may be another.
• Stay in your vehicle. Give the animal room to move off the road.
• If you hit wildlife and there is injury or significant damage, call 911.
Enjoy the sighting from a safe distance. Get home in one piece.

Laughter from a child. A Mama that does the best job she can and doing amazing.
Littles that melt my heart. Pictures sometimes capture more than you know.
Thank you Beth Hallowell for letting me share.

I have been a voice for mental health and addiction for years.

Because I have seen what happens when someone is drowning and finally reaches for help… only to have their past thrown back in their face.

Recovery is not forgetting what happened.

It is waking up every day and choosing to fight for a life you almost lost.

To rebuild trust.
To carry the shame.
To face the damage.
And still keep going.

I have watched a family try to rebuild while others continue to tear them apart.

And somewhere in the middle is a little girl.

Caught in the crossfire of adult anger, judgment, gossip, and people creating their own narrative.

Everyone has a story.

Please don't take one chapter of someone's life and decide you know how their story ends.

As we begin a new school year, **make a difference.**

Choose compassion.

Because sometimes the person everyone is judging is fighting the hardest battle of their life.

And sometimes, the child watching the adults fight is the one being hurt the most.

Thank you for connecting us Nancy. years ago. To see how hard Angie Bryant Gates and Morgan N Bryant have worked is a blessing.
Like I said to both of them . No! A young child should have stayed in DCF. Not what happened.
This family asked their own family to step in and help. Not destroy.
This situation has become a conversation that is shared at schools and town offices. Do you actually know the whole story or just a narrative?
