🚲 August Monthly Maker Bike Ride: Canals, Rivers & Industry!

We're continuing the spirit of fun, chill bike rides with a daytime ride through Lowell's canals, rivers, and industrial history.

This month's route is a near-retread of the Moonlight Ride—but in daylight and without the Folk Festival crowds blocking the way! 😎

Unplug and play at Board Game Night!

Open to members and their guests. Whether you're into strategy, party games, or classics, there's always a table to join. Drop in most Wednesdays at 7pm in the classroom and bring your competitive (or cooperative) spirit.

Join us this Sunday for Furred Sunday, a new monthly meetup at Lowell Makes!

Bring a project, sketchbook, costume component, prop, electronic creation—or just yourself. Whether you're into sewing, foam fabrication, 3D printing, electronics, digital art, character design, woodworking, or just good conversation, all experience levels are welcome.

🏁 Three Lowell Makes Makers. Three Wild Machines. One Kinetic Challenge.🏁

The Lowell Kinetic Sculpture Race is back for its 10th year on September 19, and three Lowell Makes members are ready to take on the course!

🐕 Mark Goldwater — Laika: First Dog in Space
🐄 Brendan Falvey — Stampede
🤖 Rudy Dominguez — The Imperial Speed Walker

From 14-wheel drive to a Star Wars-inspired speed walker, these makers have been busy designing, building, tinkering, and preparing for one seriously wild race.

On September 19th, the streets, mud, sand, and waterways of Lowell will once again become a proving ground for some of the city’s most creative—and unconventional—engineering.
