is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed in April 2015. Our mission is to foster collaboration, creativity, and professional development within the Greater Lowell artistic community. Our organization is based out of Western Avenue Studios in Lowell, a five acre campus which is home to the largest artist community on the eastern seaboard. OUR PROGRAMS
Loading Dock Gallery
Loading Dock Gallery is

a cooperative, artist-run gallery. The spacious Gallery features original fine artwork, jewelry, cards, handmade soap, pottery, prints, art-to-wear, and more. The Showcase Gallery presents a new exhibit each month featuring member artists or a national or regional juried show. The Back Door Gallery features an artist member and changes quarterly. The Gallery was founded in December 2007 and initiated Loading Dock Arts in 2015. Loading Dock Arts Education
Loading Dock Arts Education brings together well-known artists, panelists, teachers, and writers to share their insights with the Greater Lowell artist community and the general public. In the fall of 2016 we successfully launched our series calendar to an enthusiastic audience. Our 2017 events calendar offers educational workshops, events, and
experiences to enlighten the broad community interest at the crossroads of art, art education, design, innovation, and art history. Our educational program is supported in part by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council (http://www.massculturalcouncil.org/), a state agency.
