LOWELL — A $40 million housing project cleared an important hurdle when the Historic Board approved a historic permit for Coalition for Better Acre’s application for its North Canal project.

A huge congrats to our founder, Charlie Gargiulo, for being honored with a Massachusetts History Alliance STAR Award i recognition of his "long-standing, long-term commitment, exemplary innovation, and work towards equity and justice in Massachusetts. Charlie, Coalition for A Better Acre salutes you. He'll received the award at the Alliances conference tomorrow, June 12, at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent First-Time Homebuyer Panel! 75% of attendees reported feeling much more confident about becoming a homeowner and 100% said they learned about programs or resources they previously did not know about

One of our favorite moments of the evening came from a toddler who attended with his mom. At the end of the panel, he turned to her and asked, “Mom, can we go to the new house now?” ❤️
