Over the last two years, PBF’s Pan-Mass Challenge team has raised an impressive $101,000+ in the fight against cancer. With these funds, PBF has been able to establish the Patrick Beauregard Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The Fund is managed under the direction of Dr. Kimmie Ng and benefits DFCI’s Young-Onset CRC Center. The Center - the first of its kind in New England and that of which Pat was the first face - has a threefold focus: (1) Provide expert, compassionate, and multidisciplinary care: (2) Conduct cutting-edge research; and (3) Increase awareness among clinicians and the public to improve prevention and early detection. These goals align with PBF’s goals to beat young-onset CRC through education, advocacy, and collaboration.
For 2024, PBF is excited to continue its support of the PMC and is proud to announce its expanded 11-rider team that will be participating alongside riders from all corners of the world in the annual bike-a-thon on August 3rd and 4th! Each rider will pedal the route while raising money to benefit the Patrick Beauregard Fund and Dr. Ng’s important work at DFCI in the fight against young-onset CRC.
With all this in mind, we invite you to visit the link in our bio to meet our 2024 riders and consider donating to help them reach their team-wide goal of $75,000 this year! Dr. Ng and her colleagues will do whatever it takes to make every cent raised as part of PBF’s PMC fundraising efforts count in maximizing progress against young-onset CRC. Want a concrete example of what exactly your donation helps to support? Check out the third picture to see the priority funding needs that the money raised through PBF’s PMC fundraiser will support within DFCI’s Young-Onset CRC Center.
The work being done by Dr. Ng and her colleagues holds great promise for patients everywhere, and it is happening because of our dedicated riders and our generous donors! Every dollar counts. And, together, we will get closer by the mile to a world without cancer.
