May is the Mental Health Month, and we are all about creating safe spaces for young people to grow both inside and out.
We recently hosted a mentorship session for our students across both schools, focusing on mental health and good grooming, because confidence starts from within and reflects on the outside.
We were honored to be joined by Ivy Mbiro, author of Behind Kibe’s Smile and Kaya’s Quiet Storm, who shared her powerful journey as a mental health advocate. She spoke openly about why she writes for teenagers and the importance of addressing mental health at a young age.
At Starehe Foundation Inc., we believe every young person deserves to be heard, understood, and equipped with tools to navigate their emotions while still striving for academic excellence.
Because when young people thrive emotionally, they stand a better chance to thrive in other areas of life.
