Los Alamitos Aquatics Foundation The foundation offers the following programs/teams:
10&U Coed, 12&U Girls, 12&U Boys, 14&U Girls, 14&U Boys, HS Girls, and HS Boys.

Los Alamitos Aquatics Foundation (USAWP #315) is a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to teach and promote water polo to the youth of Southern California. For those younger and newer kids to water polo, check out our Mini Polo and Intro2WaterPolo programs. Los Alamitos Aquatics Foundation practices out of Los Alamitos High School. We are proud to serve the Los Alamitos, Rossmoor, and Seal Beach communities.

Another weekend of water polo in the books.

Our 12U, 14U, and 16U boys competed at the Anti-Wave Tournament in Orange County, continuing to build on the work they’ve been putting in all summer.

Every match is another opportunity to improve, compete, and learn. It’s rewarding to see that progress take shape over time.

Strong finish at the Futures WPL Super Finals for the Los Alamitos Aquatics Foundation!

Congratulations to all three teams for competing hard all weekend and representing Los Al with pride.

12U Boys — 3rd Place, Division 2
10U Coed — 8th Place, Division 1
14U Boys — 11th Place, Division 2

Every team showed determination, resilience, and a commitment to each other throughout the tournament. We’re proud of our athletes, coaches, and families for another great weekend of Los Al water polo.

🎉 WELCOME BACK HOME! 🎉
The Los Alamitos Aquatics Foundation is thrilled to officially welcome Stephanie Mutafyan to our Board of Directors!

Stephanie is a true product of our community—a proud alumna of Los Alamitos High School and Cal who brings a passionate “team-first” mindset and an incredible legacy of success back to LAAF. Her competitive foundation was built right here as a High School All-American and First-Team All-CIF water polo player for the Griffins, before she went on to play for the Cal Bears. Stephanie still competes at the highest level today with the prestigious New York Athletic Club (NYAC)!

But that’s not all—we are equally excited to announce that Coach Stephanie is returning to our deck! Having previously coached in our system, she is back to bring her high-level technical mentorship directly to our High School Girls Program!

Our athletes are in incredible hands with a returning leader and coach who knows exactly what it takes to succeed as a student-athlete both locally and on the world stage.
Please join us in giving Coach Stephanie a massive welcome back to the Los Al family!

Our Los Alamitos Aquatics Foundation 12U and 14U girls teams had a great day competing at this year’s Futures Water Polo League Super Finals. Proud of the effort, teamwork, and determination they showed throughout the day while representing Los Al.

Our 16U boys competed in their first Southern Pacific Water Polo Zone Junior Olympics Qualifier last weekend and represented Los Alamitos Aquatics Foundation the right way.

The boys competed hard all weekend long and, more importantly, did it with a positive attitude. They never once put a teammate down or yelled at one another. Instead, they constantly encouraged each other, worked together, and showed a true team-first mentality from start to finish.

It was great to work with a group that sees LosAl as more than just a three-month program and truly embraces being part of something bigger. That attitude was on display all weekend long.

A huge thank you to all of the parents for your support, encouragement, and for being there every step of the way. Your commitment helps make these experiences possible.

Proud of this group and excited to see them continue to grow.

Five Los Alamitos Aquatics Foundation teams secured their spots at the Junior Olympics following this weekend’s SOPAC Zone Junior Olympic Qualifier!

From the first whistle to the final game, our athletes competed with determination, teamwork, and heart. Their hard work in training, combined with the support of our coaches, families, and volunteers, made this achievement possible.

Congratulations to all of our players for representing Los Al with class and effort throughout the weekend. We’re excited to continue the journey and look forward to competing at the Junior Olympics this summer.
