Out of every studio that joined the DAC Parent Dance Challenge across KAR and Rainbow National Finals, one studio took fundraising to another level. 💖

The Element Dance Center of San Diego, California raised an incredible $35,000 for Dancers Against Cancer!

Behind one of her biggest moments was one of her hardest. 💖

Christina “Pasty” Grady has built an incredible career in dance, from performing on world tours with Lady Gaga to becoming a renowned choreographer, educator, and mentor to the next generation.

In 2023, she was honored as Dance Convention Teacher of the Year at the Industry Dance Awards. Behind that huge career moment, Christina was carrying something deeply personal. Her dad was battling cancer and was too sick to be in the room to watch her accept the award.

Christina shares what that night meant to her and why being surrounded by Dancers Against Cancer made her feel understood during a moment when she needed it most.

Her full conversation goes even deeper into her career, life on tour, mentorship, the healing power of dance, and how cancer has impacted her family.
