Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to the amazing staff and amazing families of Tri-City United Public Schools in Lonsdale! They just completed their annual food drive for LAFS and brought in over 1000lbs of food and $1000, both amazing figures. Special thanks to Ms Warner and to Mackenthun's Fine Foods for their leadership in organizing this. TCU has annually been our biggest food drive. Great job kids, you've helped more families than you know!

We would like to express our sincerest thanks to the Lonsdale community for your generosity you have shown to the Food Shelf in both monetary and food donations during the government shutdown.

With increased food prices and more families needing assistance your help has been greatly appreciated. If you wish to support the Food Shelf during the holidays, both food and monetary donations are welcomed. If your in need of assistance please call the Food Shelf at 507-744-5399 for an appointment. The Food Shelf is open on Thursday's.

DEER HUNTERS - you can now donate your deer to be processed locally and given to the Lonsdale Area Food Shelf!

Hunters and Processors must adhere to specific standards designed to prevent food-borne illness: Only entire carcasses with the hide attached can be donated. Cut and wrapped meat will not be accepted for donation.

Deer MUST BE field dressed, tagged and transported properly to our local Meat Processor, Lonsdale Country Market. See links below.

Please contact Mike at 507-744-2356 to arrange Deer drop off and proper processing for donation to LAFS.

At the end of this week, SNAP (food assistance) is expected to be paused. If you are directly impacted, please follow the link below to register for assistance. We are open on Thursday afternoons for food distribution so if you are worried about not having enough food next week, please come see us.
