you guys… 😭

if you’ve been here for a while, you know the journey…

we stepped away from the building
we learned how to survive in the in-between
and somewhere along the way… we felt how much it hurt not being able to do what we’re meant to do

and now…

we have a home.

and not just a home… a sanctuary.

for us… learning how to live and heal in bodies that don’t always cooperate
and for the dogs
the ones we have
the ones we haven’t met yet
the ones who are about to need somewhere safe to land

this space means we can be us again

we can say yes
we can take the hard cases
we can give them time, space, and safety to actually heal

no more “we wish we could”
no more turning away when it hurts to say no

this house is going to hold so much life
so much healing
so many second chances

and you guys… you were here for all of it

you followed every step
every hard moment
every pivot

and you stayed.

this is yours too.

welcome to the sanctuary 🐾

stay tuned… we’ve got so much to show you 👀

So… Something is shifting.

We haven’t said anything yet on purpose. But if you’ve been paying attention… you might’ve noticed 👀 We’re about to do something bigger than we’ve ever done before.

And before we can say anything else…
we need to start fundraising .
Fencing.
Ramps.
Access for dogs who don’t get picked first.

🎯 $12,000

That’s all we’re saying for now.

Just know… this changes everything.

Peanut is one of those dogs who sneaks into your heart before you even realize it. Though he’s urinary and f***l incontinent, it doesn’t define him—or slow him down one bit. He still wants to play, follow you everywhere, and be part of everything you do.

This foster is obsessed with his people—snuggles, kisses, and being right by their side are his favorite things. Lately, he’s been in some pain, so he’s extra clingy, leaning into the people he trusts most.

Want to help support him? Link in comments to contribute to Peanut's Amazon wish list with items to keep him comfortable. 🧡

I used to be terrified of becoming “disabled.” Like it meant I’d lose everything.
My purpose. My work. My ability to help.
But here’s the truth:
I didn’t lose my purpose. I just changed how I live it.

I still show up.
I still rescue.
I just do it differently now.

Starting Peanut the chi who will be available through Healing Hearts as soon as he is medically cleared ❤️

We’ve been really quiet lately… not because nothing is happening… but because everything is happening 👀
We are currently in our “this could either be the best decision we’ve ever made or absolute chaos” era 😂

Can’t share details yet but just know…
👀 something BIG is in motion
🐶 it absolutely involves dogs
🏡 and our lives might look very different soon

Stay tuned… this one’s gonna be fun 💛
