The mission of Music Teachers National Association is to advance the value of music study and music making to society and to support the professionalism of music teachers. The Collegiate Chapter of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) at CSULB is an organization for undergraduate and graduate students who aim to: 1) further connections with music teachers and professionals across the nation, 2) collaborate with other music students pursuing careers in music pedagogy/education, and 3) network for professional opportunities and career options in the field of music. CSULB MTNA goals include providing networking opportunities, business and pedagogical workshops, and performance experiences with faculty mentorship.
