Learn the Filipino culture through Filipino inspired experiences

10/01/2026

It’s our favorite time of year!

We celebrate us..all the Filipino Americans who have shaped what our community is today and continue to be

Every year I always learn something new! Looking forward to learning and being with you all!

So many FilAm events happening all over the country! Support and respect our cultural bearers, educators, organizers. They have put in time and effort and often never recognized or paid! And most of all…let’s all have fun! We all deserve it!

If you are looking for fun ways to share with your kids or students about FAHM, we have FAHM digital downloads available on our website!

Excited for Halo Halo Bash tomorrow!

It’s one of our favorite events we host every year!

We curate our family friendly experiences so that parents bring their kids to not only learn more about their culture, but also we make it fun with creative ways to incorporate activities that kids will have fun doing.

At Halo Halo Bash you will get to:
1. Customize your own Halo Halo
2. Learn about halo halo through music and learn basic Tagalog
3. Create halo halo through art!

See you tomorrow!

One of the things I’ve learned as a busy working mom of 3 who owns multiple businesses but still want to engage their kids with all the things:

INCLUDE THEM

This week we are prepping for our annual Halo Halo Bash. But with the kiddos schedules I had to multi-task!

While one is at his Filipino Martial Arts class, I took the other to the best place to show and teach Filipino culture: THE FILIPINO GROCERY STORE Island Pacific Market is conveniently down the street from KUBO LB | Long Beach Filipino Creative Community Space For All so I was able to check things off my to do list.

I showed my daughter and asked questions
🍧what goes into Halo Halo?
🍧 what’s your favorite topping?
🍧 what are things you don’t like in Halo Halo?
🍧 show me where the Nata de coco is? 😜

Asking engaging questions and showing what and where things are at the grocery store gives them self awareness and independence knowing they are involved with the process

We only have 3 spots left for Halo Halo Bash this Saturday!

We can’t wait!
