🌎 It’s the 3rd annual Earth Day event at Rose Park on 8th and Orizaba. This event is FREE and open to all!

Rose Park resident, Bonnie Massey takes a look at the history of Rose Park with a community collage workshop on 3/29.

Neighbors worked with vintage materials from the park’s history, then layered in their own perspectives, memories, and hopes for the future.

Rose Park Update: The Department of Public Works is replacing the industrial lights on the gazebo with craftsman style lighting features.

The gazebo area will be closed to the public, due to construction, and expected to be closed for three weeks.

Hey neighbors! Community cleanups made it to the top of the list for the areas you want to focus on in 2026.

Meet up with us at Temple Baptist Church at 2825 E. 10th Street on 3/21 at 11:30AM.

We will be cleaning up 10th Street, providing tree maintenance and succulent planting, as well as connecting with neighbors! Information will be provided about TeraCycle to keep trash out of landfills and incinerators.

🎨Stop by anytime on Thursday, January 15th from 2pm to 4pm! Help out with the next mosaic panel that will be installed in the alleyway of Safe Refuge.

Rose Park Neighborhood Association’s ArtWorksLBC program uplifted the neighborhood in 2025 through creative and meaningful ways.

Our biggest project this year was making a twenty-foot-long mosaic mural with members of the community and participants at Safe Refuge, a recovery program. One Safe Refuge resident shared that working on this collaborative mural was was the first time he felt a part of a place rather than passing through it. He was not defined by where he was in his life, but was included as a neighbor and a community member.

Rose Park Neighborhood is a nonprofit organization made up of volunteers who bring resources and events to the neighborhood.

🎁The holiday bags for Rose Park senior residents and individuals in need of holiday cheer are packed and ready for delivery!

🎄Thank you to all who volunteered for this annual tradition to make holiday ornaments and help pack gift bags with our nonprofit partner, the Heart of Ida.

We are grateful for the community sponsorship support from the Port of Long Beach.

It was a beautiful night with neighbors! Holiday jazz music by Little Radios, ornament making, hot cocoa, cider and sweet treats, and lights were strung from the Rose Park gazebo.
