The slaughter pipeline is swallowing up our wild horses from the BLM’s Adoption Incentive Program.

RAN is actively seeking support for our rescue efforts to rewild 25 wild horses at this moment. We are spending significant resources to save these horses from slaughter and we are excited to bring them to a new home and continue these rescues.

Time is of the essence. We need to process, transport and vet our horses before returning them to freedom as part of our rewilding programs.

Together we can make this happen.

Rewilding NYC! 100 life-sized elephants have arrived to the meatpacking district, the historic neighborhood where thousands upon thousands of animals were once slaughtered for meat.

Humanity is waking up to recognize the intrinsic beauty and value of nature.

The elephants are made of lantana, an invasive plant threatening habitat in India.

Thank you to the 200 indigenous artisans from the who created this!

Cornell students just learned what true rewilding feels like! A new community-engaged learning course offers students a unique opportunity to study rewilding efforts up-close through site visits to the Dakotas and consultations with experts and local stakeholders, including Indigenous communities.

We would like to thank Paul & Barb from the Silbernagel Ranch and Ron & Carol from the Brownotter Ranch for hosting and of course the Cornell University Brooks School of Public Policy for making “Rewilding the American West: A Policy Incubator” a reality.

https://www.rewildingamericanow.org/brooks-public-policy-course

This groundbreaking rewilding policy education will enable students to see these landscapes and interact with stakeholders from varying backgrounds, bringing policy issues to students in a way that books, journal articles, policy briefs and scientific reports alone never could.

Students saw and learned firsthand why it is critical to hold the BLM accountable for their policies, and understand the importance of the legal work RAN is doing alongside Wild Horse Education.

Rewilding America Now is working to educate young policymakers of the future to protect the natural world and serve the American people.

We had hoped to witness together the thunder of hooves on July 15th. However, in order to obtain the safest possible outcome as we set the stage for our long-term vision, we must slow to a trot for a short while.

The vision of RAN is not to create a fleeting moment, but long term protection and healing.

The anticipation of the thrill of hearing that thunder must last a little longer.

We will keep you informed as the new date is set.
