Locust Valley Rotary

Locust Valley Rotary Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders.

Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.

Jennifer Bloom, Director of the Locust Valley Library, was inducted into the Rotary Club of Locust Valley on March 15th. Gabor Karsai, Past President and Past District Governor, conducted the induction.

Welcome, Jennifer!

Rotary fulfills a four-way test of the things we think, say or do:
Is it the truth?
Is it fair to all concerned?
Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

The Locust Valley Rotary Club Gloves for Hugs Project 2022 is underway and we NEED your help!

The Locust Valley Rotary Club Gloves for Hugs Project has provided coats, hats and gloves to hundreds of children in need since 2017. Not only providing the warmth a child needs, it is also a holiday gift. Both are something every child deserves.

This heartwarming project was a huge success last year! We provided over 100 new coats, hats and gloves to deserving children!

Please help us continue this much needed campaign by donating here to The LV Rotary Foundation:

Last Saturday the LV Rotary Club hosted a Picnic Pops at Thomas Park! We dedicated our newly rebuilt Gazebo and honored our benefactor with a Paul Harris award.

Our community enjoyed the beautiful weather and the live music which was performed by the band Thorogood Jenkins.

All in all it was an afternoon well spent and we added a few more Rotarians to our club! Welcome to them!
