Stingers Exotics Reptile Rescue

Stingers Exotics Reptile Rescue We are a Non-Profit 501(3)(c) reptile Rescue, Rehome & Surrender! We are funded by donations from our community. We do charge a fee for surrendered animals.

We depend on these donations to continue our mission. We rescue, rehabilitate and provide sanctuary for reptiles in need. Without any city, state or government funding we heal, socialize and find qualified homes for reptiles & some amphibians. This fee will be due at the time of surrender. All fees collected cover some of the expenses while we are working to locate them a new long-term loving home

. Some animals are in our care weeks, months, even years... some become permanent residence... but unfortunately, as much as I would like I cannot keep them all.

Update on the spicy rat snake ... Marshmallow is it's name. This was the one that was undersize, starved and looking pretty rough. Bit anything that moved because it was hangry! I'm feeding it almost every day ... it's put on weight.. understands food is coming on a schedule ... still races towards me... but I'm beginning to handle it with out it biting the s**t out of me. :) Progress! It will make an awesome pet for someone that likes bity things and is not squeamish :) It's on our adoptions page for a small adoption fee :)

Does anyone have an outbreak of unwanted aquatic snails they would like to donate? We could use them!

The first image is a surrender... Tuchi came in 05/29/26. The second is one that I have raised since hatching. The surrender Tuchi is now doing fantastic... not to a point I'd adopt it out yet. But progress ... it came in swollen, deficient ... couldn't open it's eyes... bloated and beginning kidney failure... shell is sloped from improper diet & set up. Unfortunately I can't find the pictures I took when it arrived for a comparison...so I'm using one that I have raised as an example of how well it's coming along. :)

We're getting some spicy surrenders! This was my hand earlier in the day. 🤣 Better my camera case than my fingers OUCH! Why? This guy should be 7 feet long ... it's every bit of 3 years plus old and he's tiny! It was purchased out of a shop that was closed 3 years ago. The reason this little fellow is attacking everything is he's HUNGRY! Regular feedings for this guy he'll understand that food is coming on a schedule so he doesn't have to attack everything that moves because it may be his last meal. This guy will be up for adoption ... the right person will understand his neglect and need experience with bity things!

With the shop being a man down namely not a man but Mum I'm behind on getting things posted for adoptions. Hopefully if everything goes as planned I'll work on this tomorrow on my day off :) As far as donations... we could really use paper towels and bleach ... would be very helpful and appreciative!

I'm needing to halt cans/bottles temporarily until Mum gets back on her feet to do returns. I have no space to store them. Thank you so much for everything you do to help us help reptiles and pets in need 💚

The little fellows we've been taking in lately are in serious shape ... I can't stress enough how important UVB lighting is. If you feel this feature is too expensive... do not purchase that animal! WAIT until you can afford the appropriate heat & lighting! Stop purchasing crap off amazon. Yah it maybe cheaper but you have no idea what your buying! Those that can't measure...those that stick improper wattage or house light bulbs on these reptiles. Crap plastic things purchased on Etsy. Enclosures that are way too big for that animal because they listened to some clown on a forum. We have a baby tortoise in a helluva mess ... a baby box turtle in a helluva mess that had improper diet, improper set up ... leopard geckos with severe issues. Snakes that are thin because they can't make it to pick up food! You should see the junk people drop off with these animals. They had no clue they were doing this animal harm. Then they stand before me asking if it will be ok or cry. Challenge me and say do you have it's best interest... clearly they didn't ...once its a mess they drop it in a rescue! It's making me angry today 😡

This was 7 years ago on this day. This was sitting at our shop door. If ever this is the case please don't drop them at our door... anyone can pick them up and we'd have no idea. I'd also worry that the person that picked them up wouldn't have their best interest. Phone me... explain the situation. Right now we are at capacity with rescues and surrenders... in this case we'd make arrangements or ask if you could give us a couple days to make this happen. What happens this time of year ...every year in the 20 some we've been in business... the "after school dump" I call it. People purchase pets of all kinds during the fall and winter....summer they become busy with out door activities and travel... they dump their pets. It's terrible but it happens year after year. It has eased up thru the years but you never know.
