Many of the families we serve have kids who attend public academies that require uniforms. We like to help them start the school year off right, however we're very low on girls pants. If you feel led to donate, new or gently worn are appreciated! (Girls polo shirts are needed as well!)

Due to excessive heat (and lack of AC) the Closet is closed for shopping this week. We are able to provide porch pickup, however.

The Alpha Family and Foster Closet is looking for volunteers. Yours could be the smile that turns the day around for an overwhelmed parent. As you help them pick out items, bag their things or entertain their precious kids, you're lifting their spirits.

We also need help sorting and organizing the many donations we receive. Every single donation has to be opened, sorted, inspected, sized, and organized before it can reach a child.

We receive an abundance of donations and sometimes it feels overwhelming, but I wouldn't' trade this "problem" for anything because it means our community cares.

The beautiful thing is that nothing goes to waste. Items we're unable to use are donated to Another Day Resource Center and AAA Pregnancy Resource Center among others. We strive to keep items out of landfills.

It's truly a win-win-win.
❤️ Children receive the essentials they need.
❤️ Other nonprofits receive donations they can use.
❤️ Clothes that are ready to be retired are recycled.

The only thing we're missing right now is enough helping hands to keep up with your generosity.

Thanks to Cheyenne at Harry J Will funeral home for doing a clothes drive during May. Two vans packed full! And thanks to Dana and Dena (sp?) for their help lugging it all upstairs!
