Sharing the love of Christ by providing clothing and other essentials to kids in foster care or from families struggling financially.

Often children arrive in their new foster home with only the clothes on their back. The Foster Closet provides new and like new clothes, shoes, toiletries, bedding, new socks, underwear, diapers and wipes, and baby equipment in an effort to alleviate the financial burden of foster parenting. Appointments to 'shop' can be made by calling (800)554-4966 x213.

We want to make sure all the little ones who come to our Closet get warm, comfy clothes! We're currently very low on girls size 18 mo, 24 mo and 2t pants and tops. They don't need to be new, just clean and in vgc!

Thank you Jennifer at Kids Table MI for the wonderful donation of socks, underwear, leggings, feminine hygiene, hair care and big, blue Ikea bags!

I didn't think we'd be able to get Halloween stuff out this year, but we did! We have some costumes, some pajamas, and lots of tshirts and onesies! If you want to swing by for Halloween (not other shopping) we'll be open 10:00 - 11am and Wednesday 2:30-3:30pm.

10/22/2026

In an effort to better serve our clients, we're switching up our hours! We're changing our Wednesday appointments from 5:30 to 2pm, which means no driving through rush hour and our shoppers can come in before picking the kids up from school!
*Our Monday mornings at 9:30 will stay the same.

10/21/2026

Today is our reopening since moving floors and seasonal inventory! We're hosting 3 families this afternoon and I am so grateful to have volunteers Karen and Susan there!

10/17/2026

Thanks to the tireless help of Northville HS students, local scouts, Four Winds youth, friends and church members, our move is complete! Winter items are out and we're making appointments for families to come starting next week.
We are so thankful to our community members who volunteer their time, donate clothing and other essentials. As a ministry of Alpha Baptist Church, we don't have overhead which means every dollar donated goes directly to purchasing items for the kids we serve.

10/12/2026

During our move and seasonal switchover, we're unable to accept donations. We'll resume accepting donations the week of October 19.
Thanks for your understanding.

10/03/2026

The Closet will be closed until the week of 10/19 as we're renovating our space for improved access and a more open shopping experience. We'll have fall and winter items out then.
Thanks for your patience.
