🌊 New Adaptive Recreation Opportunity: Adaptive Tubing

We’re excited to announce a new adaptive recreation opportunity this summer!

In partnership with Disability Network Eastern Michigan, we’re offering Adaptive Tubing on August 12.

This event is designed to provide a fun, inclusive opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and connect with others in the community.

Space is limited, and only a limited number of participant spots are available.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

If you’re interested in joining us, we encourage you to register early.

Volunteers Needed for the National Veterans Wheelchair Games! 🇺🇸♿

The National Veterans Wheelchair Games—the largest adaptive sports event for U.S. veterans—is coming to Detroit, and we need your help!

Hosted by the Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America, this incredible event brings together hundreds of veterans from across the country to compete, connect, and celebrate the power of adaptive sports.

We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help staff the MPVA table and make this event a success. Whether you can give a few hours or more, your support will make a meaningful impact.

This event raises funds to support children and adults with physical disabilities through adaptive sports, recreation programs, equipment assistance, and scholarships.

Hockey Mentors for Special Players is hosting a FREE Adaptive Skating & Hockey Experience for children, teens, and adults with disabilities or special needs.

We are proud to work with Jimmy!

Golf was part of my family growing up. My dad, Grandpas, and uncles. After my spinal cord injury, I thought I'd lost the ability to share that forever. It wasn't just a physical loss. It was a massive mental-health hit.

The Paragolfer changed that. Once I started scoring well, and start beating really all of the able-bodied golfers I was golfing with, I wanted to compete.
