A scholarship from the Confidence & Leadership Foundation gave Mila the opportunity to discover her inner strength through Girls & Boys With Confidence's school program and summer camp.

Once hesitant to try new things independently, Mila is now more self-assured, open, and proud of who she is. She has made new friends, strengthened old friendships, learned healthy habits, and embraced the independence camp provided.

Her mom sees the change in the way Mila stands taller, makes eye contact, speaks comfortably with adults, and carries herself with pride. “She’s becoming such a caring and helpful young person,” her mom says.

Most of all, Mila now seems to light up from the inside out—her growing joy, kindness, and confidence shining through in every step she takes. 💖💫

Leadership doesn’t always look like standing in front of a room. 💫

Sometimes it looks like inviting someone to join in.
Speaking up when something doesn’t feel right.
Trying again after getting it wrong.
Having the courage to share an idea.

Through our programs, we give children opportunities to practice these skills, build their confidence, and discover that they have the power to positively impact the people around them.

The way we talk to ourselves matters. 💖

Positive self-talk helps children build confidence, navigate challenges, and recognize that mistakes don’t define them.

Encourage them to replace “I can’t do this” with “I can try.”
Instead of “I’m not good at this,” try “I’m still learning.”

Small shifts in self-talk can make a big difference in how children see themselves. ✨
