Our PA Chapter had a successful Waterfowl Workshop last weekend! 👏

"On Saturday October 24th our chapter partnered with the NEPA Delta Chapter and Sabbi Sil Retrievers to provide a Waterfowl workshop and first hunt experience to 5 ladies and a 12 year old girl with the Delta Chapter. We experienced a cold morning with very little movement, but our ladies were troopers as they belly crawled under downed trees, rocky and muddy banks to our spot along the Susquehanna River. We had a safety briefing, discussed techniques, decoys, and set up panel blinds and added foliage all before first light. We spent a great day and even managed to get 2 geese. Several of our ladies are adult-onset hunters and one experienced her very first hunt ever. The new hunters learned how to clean their harvest and were given cooking tips. It was an amazing day!" - PA Chapter President, Chastity K.

The PA Chapter leadership team and several members volunteered time to help the Lumber Heritage Region which covers 15 PA counties complete a heritage conservation project. We removed, painted, sanded, and sealed wayfinding signs 2 and 9. This project is important to maintain a connection to PA's past lumber history but to also continue conserving our diverse public timber lands and river systems.

Shouting out our Florida Chapter VP, Diedre Brown!

This woman is a force to be reckoned with! An adult-onset hunter turned outdoor rockstar. Diedre pours endless time and energy into creating opportunities for beginners to embark on their own outdoor journeys, coordinating conservation efforts in her home state of Florida, showing up where it matters most, and making sure her voice is heard in rooms where protecting hunting and habitats is a top priority.

And let's talk about her recent success in the woods! Diedre has had a heck of a Fall, harvesting an impressive Florida buck AND a Pope & Young Maine black bear WITH HER BOW!

Diedre, you are an inspiration to so many! Your passion, dedication, and willingness to show up and do the work don't go unnoticed. We sure are lucky to have you on our leadership team and in our lives!
