District 125 operates one comprehensive free public high school, Adlai E. Stevenson High School (Stevenson), and serves the communities of Lincolnshire, Long Grove and Prairie View, and portions of Buffalo Grove, Deerfield, Mundelein, Hawthorn Woods, Vernon Hills, Lake Forest, Indian Creek, Wheeling, Lake Zurich, Riverwoods, Kildeer, Palatine and Mettawa. n is among the nation's best. Nearly 30 AP classes are available. Stevenson regularly leads the Midwest region in AP participation and has ranked in the top five worldwide. More than 140 co-curricular clubs and activities are open to students. Three-fourths of the student body is involved in co-curriculars, ranging from athletics to performing arts to civics. The 76-acre campus features state-of-the-art facilities. A 1,200-seat performing arts center and an Olympic-sized swimming pool are some of the resources enjoyed by the community.
