This past week, I visited Edith M. Smith Middle School to spend some time with the young men who are participating in the King In Me Mentoring Academy. Founded by Ty Franklin, the organization is guiding young men towards personal growth and success. I will show up for students in Waukegan to remind them that they possess limitless potential and are capable of greatness.

👑 Big Day for King In Me Mentoring! 👑

Today was truly special — we had the honor of welcoming the Mayor of Waukegan, Sam Cunningham, to our King In Me Mentoring Academy at Glen Flora Elementary!

To see our young kings being recognized at this level is powerful. This program is bigger than just mentorship — it’s about building confidence, emotional strength, leadership, and purpose in our youth.

When leaders from our city take the time to show up, it sends a message to these young men:
👉 You matter
👉 You are seen
👉 Your future is bright

We’re proud of the growth, the energy, and the resilience these young men show every single day. This is how we change lives and impact generations 💯

Thank you, Mayor Cunningham, for taking the time to pour into our future leaders. The work continues!

It was a true honor to spend time with the young men who are participating in King In Me Mentoring Academy at Glen Flora Elementary School. I was inspired to see the program fostering emotional resilience and confidence in the students. For me, mentorship is more than just offering advice but also about consistently showing up and equipping the next generation with the tools to navigate life’s crossroads. I walked away deeply inspired by the potential of these future leaders, who already speak with such remarkable clarity and determination.

Day 12 – King 👑 Stay Consistent

King, today’s word is simple but powerful: stay consistent.

Everybody gets motivated.
Everybody feels inspired.
But not everybody stays consistent.

Consistency is what separates potential from progress. It’s showing up on the days you don’t feel like it. It’s doing the right thing when nobody is watching. It’s choosing discipline over excuses.

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to keep going.

Small steps every day turn into big results over time. The gym. The books. The prayer. The grind. The mindset. Stack it daily.

Don’t let one off day turn into a quit season. Reset. Refocus. Recommit.

King, greatness isn’t built in a day—it’s built daily. Stay consistent. 👑

Day 4 – King 👑

King, often times you have to block out the noise in order to be successful.
Everybody will have an opinion. Everybody will have something to say. Not all voices deserve your attention.

Distractions will try to pull you off your path. Doubt will try to creep in. People will question you when they don’t understand your vision. Stay locked in. What God placed in you didn’t require their approval.

Learn to move in silence. Focus on your growth, your discipline, and your purpose. The more you listen to the noise, the harder it is to hear your own direction.

Protect your peace. Guard your mind. Stay focused on the mission.

Block out the noise, King. Your future is calling. 👑
